having glimpsed a handful of peeks behind the curtain, im finding some specific themes or qualities that are re-occuring (with spice and with psychs in general)...i hear that many of you encountering the same archetypes in your expireinces. ancient american imagery...eastern indianish imagery...clownish tricksters...serpants...
one aspect im continually running into that i have a hard time understanding is the insectoid realms and imagery. spiders sometimes...mostly its the mantis though. i get alot of that energy in my journeys, i almost feel singled out, as if my progress is being tracked by the bugs.

somthing else weird...iv had a few expireinces where ordinary aspects of reality are being translated into insectoid feelings. like communicating with anothers body through touch via buzzing or humming sensations felt in my hands.

anyone out there taken this deep and have some kind of idea about where this insect trip leads or what its about?

Being as reptiles and birds (who are apparently very closely related to reptiles and preceded mammals on this earth by many, many years) also have a pineal gland, it has been suggested that the pineal gland in humans may be a more reptilian part of our mammalian brain. Therefore some of the imagery such as other reptiles or insects (reptile food) that may appear completely foreign and alien to our mammalian brains, might not seem so out of place to that of a reptile.

Normally I completely disavow the whole pineal gland thing, but the first time I tried a Haoma brew I performed a deep house cleaning.

The roommate at the time had a pet gecko, whose cage was crusted with old grasshopper bodies. The entire journey, I had two holographic grasshopper models swirling behind my closed eyelids.

RE: Mantids, I think they may act as a metaphor for some type of information that most closely relates to our common experience of insects. Particularly communication through frequency/vibrations. Feel the cicada song...

This is prolly completely unrelated. But it was odd and your thread title reminded me of it. Me and a buddy hiked into the woods and set up some chairs for a session. We had a bubbler and maybe some changa. We both ripped it up and set the bubbler in between our chairs. When we came back from hyperspace we noticed a lot of flies around. I looked at the bubbler and no exageration it was almost completely covered in flies. They were inside the pipe as well. It grossed us out and we cut our session short until we washed it out. I don't know why they were so attracted to it but it was really strange.
