I heard a speculative idea from an old fellow who lives up in the hills, that the Great Wall of China was built after a DMT experience undertaken the Chinese emperor - the story suggests that the emperor saw dragons flying over the mountains and was instructed to build the wall where he saw them fly. Obviously this does not correspond with the official history of the Great Wall, and we know the Wall (or technically walls) were built over a much longer period of time than this story suggests. However, during many of my experiences, I've seen angels or dragons or merely "energy paths" flying ahead of me, tracing paths over the ground and land ahead of me, and oftentimes I feel impelled to follow these paths; it's as if these paths are programmed by the elves. I believe this must be a common experience, and that someone in recent history connected this "path tracing vision" experience to the Great Wall of China. Has anyone heard anything like this, or had similar impressions of paths being laid out before them while be-Spiced? I don't know of any ayahuasca analogues that are used by the chinese. I don't think this theory has any basis.
Emporers had a habit of seeing visions when it was conveinent for them. Just look at Charlagmagne (i can't spell that guys name but the roman emporor who saw the cross in battle). He sees a cross so he can tell his people its time to become christians so he can control them better. Maybe he spontaneously hallucinated and maybe dmt could have been involved but thats high speculation.

I came to the same conclusion; I think the story behind this story is that whoever came up with this idea experienced the same phenomena I described above - where after a Spice journey, especially one potentiated with any of the harmala alkaloids - if I begin to walk, I'll "see" paths set out before, sometimes with zingy winged creatures tracing them out, other times just as beams of light ahead of me. I bet the person who came up with the idea experienced this except with dragons, and then connected it to building of the Great Wall. This calls into mind the "Mesoamerican Civilizations" thread; were the inventors of this story similarly inspired by the notion of the elves urging us to, "Build, Create, Enjoy!"? Santa Claus was... Are there any other esoteric properties to the Great Wall? Like how the pyramids are built at very significant points? Some things will come easy, some will be a test

I sometimes have visuals that resemble ancient chinese art, but i don't know of anything that points into the direction of the chinese emperors taking ayahuasca. Albert hofman wrote in 'plants of the gods' as i remember correctly that in some imperial family (i believe there where at least a dozen of them) they did use some kind of deliriant. And ofcourse they've used opium a lot, but that's all long after the wall was already build. Chinese history is long, it's an incredibly large nation with a huge cultural diversity and many climate zones, so it's incredibly likely that in some period, somewhere in china, some people where familiar with the use of some psychedelic, but the han's have probably eradicated such habit's and if not then mao and his followers did.

Yes, it was Constantine the First, the emperor who founded the Byzantine empire and moved the capital of the empire from Rome to Constantinople, or Istanbul. Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here! Need to calculate freebase or salt percentage at a given pH? Click here!
