so Swim has ordered from this company before, this time swim made the mistake of ordering the wrong product, and with this companies return policy they will not take it back.. Swim is sure that orange oil cannot be used with lime. What other applications other than cleaning could this be used for?

Seems to me that you're in the clear, as L-limonene smells very non-orangey (or so I've read). You're dealing with a minimum of 93% D-limonene.

Why should I double check?
I've done my research and KNOW.
It's YOU who should be double checking! :]

Check the MSDS for any solvent you use!

Orange oil seems to work like d-limonene, but got some "orange residues" in it.

If it's clear orange oil it's all good. If it has a yellow tint to it, then it's not.

well that is true my friend however the site does not specify the difference for all three and the contact in the office seemed to ask a lot of questions.. With your rank of expertise I will definitely take your word or it mate!

oh sorry. It really annoys me when folk give whats without why's.

I've tried a few different extractions using this lesser grade yellow limonene and each time what precipitated out was this creamy colour mush. I'd be expecting 1g of alks and end up with 5 grams of goo.

That was a 90% limonene orange oil from a massage oil company. It was used for dry teks, wet teks and heating purifacation and wasn't good for any of it.

Well, my friend uses orange tinted orange oil and he was able to extract both mescaline acetate/carbonate and DMT fumarate with it (rock solid after the dry process).

Maybe there was some other stuff in your orange oil, to suit it better for massaging pourposes?

orange oil is mostly limonene.. using orange oil is perfectly fine for extractions.. just make sure it doesnt have weird stuff mixed in it. You should salt out your alkaloids from the limo/oil anyways, so there shouldnt be any traces of it in your final product

Thanks , Swim is trying it out right now, Seems ok, a slight less bit orangy smelling. A bit slower to color change though. Would SWim need to leave it in the bark mush for longer though...?
