is an amazing film from 24 different countries.
There is no dialogue, but there are some words.
It shows many different cultures sacred rituals,
and not so sacred ones..
Beautiful photography, music, and meaning.
Highly recommended.

Its two forerunners (Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi) are also very good.

This is indeed an amazing film, pure magick.

The divine band Dead Can Dance have used excerpts from this film for two of their videoclips, Yulunga and The Host of Seraphim just as they have given their music to this film (both songs are in the soundtrack).

Thanks for bringing up this film!

yeah...i was gonna suggest koyaanisqatsi for those who enjoyed baraka but ol' cellux beat me to it. i absolutely adore these films. they really are so powerful to watch. no dialogue...pure emotion-evoking imagery. really awesome.

other films that'll have you completely rapt without a single word:

1. KOYAANISQATSI
2. POWAQATSI
3. MICROCOSMOS
4. WINGED MIGRATION

together with Baraka, these are 5 of my all-time favorite films. truly a testiment to the power of film in it's purest, most simple use. yes, yes!! thank you for bringing this up indeed my dear brother!

I just love it Smile
I did get it on torrent but I'm definitely buying the DVD now.

DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction.
I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!

This is an amazing film. Very inspiring. Saw it many years ago and have bought the DVD a few times for friends and family... some beautiful shots. Love the monkeys at the beginning! Smile And the guys chanting !!
balaganist is a fictional character who loves playing the game of infinite existence. he amuses himself by posting stories about his made up life in our plane of physical reality. his origins are in other dimensions... he merely comes here to play.

Another vote here for microcosm and baraka. These are beautiful movies that lend themselves easily to the open sense of wonder you experience with psychedelics.
