Salvia Spathacea, listen to the humminbird fly Options

So a few days ago I posted a thread asking for help identifying a plant. I found out that is plant was a species of Salvia called Hummingbird Sage. Very little experimentation has been done, but one recommended dose was .3g for opioid like effects. It is also said to cause vivid nightmares.

About 2 hours ago, I drank the first cup, which was .5g of flower pods steeped for about 15 minuets in boiling water.

-00:10 feeling kind of strange, maybe placebo maybe not?
-00:30 Def feeling effects, have never done real opioid before so cant complain, my body feels warm

A few minuets later, I am feeling the buzz, and decide to take another cup. I brewed .4g added to the previously brewed .5g.
After this cup, My legs feel very, very warm, I start to feel a buzz throughout my entire body, maybe a bit similar to some nice indica marijuana. Unlike Indica, thinking comes very easy.

Right now I feel extremely calm, and the buzz is still strong. I feel no euphoria what so ever, which is a strange feeling to me. My pupils are enlarged a bit, and when I walk around, I can tell that I am decently sedated.

Too sum it up, .9g in a tea, had significant calming and body buzz effects. I feel like I could do a chore if I wanted to, but I dont really care about anything right now haha.

I will report back and tell you guys If I got any crazy nightmares like a few have claimed.

Peace to all,
maxzar

Very interesting. I've never even heard of this species.

Have you find much information on traditional use?

Sweet dreams Pleased

No I haven't there really is not that much information on it at all. It shows promise though. The effects are just now waning, I still feel extremely calm. Its like serenity, but I don't feel euphoric or happy in the slightest bit, I am just extremely content.

like soulfood stated, very interesting. So were there any predicted nightmares maxzar100? Supposedly Salvia Nemorosa also has the same effects. Definitely going to look into this one since i LOVE salvia plants. Very happy

I did not have any nightmares but I am going to drink 2 cups with 7.5 each tonight.

Also, I smoked some jwh and cannabis. This induced slight open eyed visuals and intense closed eye visuals. I have never gotten closed eye visuals from cannabis before. It greatly potenates cannabinoids, it made the overall high much more euphoric.

Well good luck with that. Can't wait to hear the bioassay.

Ya be careful with that combination. I never thought I could get TOO high but I did and was it ever NOT fun. I also experienced closed eye visuals too at higher doses of JWH. Not fun though when the high has everything in slowmo, your heart feels like it 200+ b/m, and your skin feel electrified.

EDIT: also too maxzar100, where'd you get the information on the dosage, etc. Any particular article?

I have experienced the insanity of jwh before but my tolerance to that stuff is so high right now. And as for information, there was a list of active salvia on the drugs forum, and after many hours of searching i found one thread about the salvia. That is where i found the info on nightmares. I am sending this from my ipod, so I will try to add sources later.

Trial 2 is about to begin.

For trial 2, I am drinking 1.1g of flower pods, AND individual flowers. I also added half a gram of lavender, to help with my CNS depression from too much jwh today. Here is a teaser pic lol, I will report back in a few minuets after the drink is ready.

P.S. Lavender not shown in pic, its some nice crystalline lavender that I cured with lemon peels.

This is very intriguing. The only salvia I have done is the basic (I suppose) kind labled x80 I think it was that is sold in headshops as incense.

This sounds like it could be fun to experience in the future. Looking forward to an update!

Also, with enough weed of any kind SWIM states he experienced many closed eye visuals on many different occasions.

All right so about 20 minuets into the tea, my heart rate begun to slow, and I started to become fairly calm. The sedative effects creeped for about an hour. The pain from my headache is completely gone, and I feel the slight opiate buzz, though it is not as strong as last night. I should have drunk 2g.

Also, this time the high is a lot more clear minded. I find thinking and typing very easy, in fact easier then when I'm sober. The sedative effects are gone now, but I still feel really calm and my heart rate is still fairly slow and calm. I feel kind of like my body is really light when I walk, and I also am talking very quietly.

There is a tingling in my spine, that is getting stronger, even though many of the other effects are almost gone.

All in all, I would say that more experimentation is needed. Im going to smoke some JWH and see if I get the visuals that I did the previous night.

This tea was able to remove my headache, when the advil was not. At worst, it is a decent pain reliever.

I will report back after the JWH my friends, I wish you all good karma for tonight.

Very cool update. I am not one to take pills of any kind so if I am ever in pain and have this form of salvia around I'll be sure to take some!Laughing

One more thing to add, The jwh was just smoked, The combination of the two is really powerfull. Its almost like tripping, the visuals are like maybe 2 grams of some amazonians, pronounced but not strong.

I saw a picture and the lady had 5 heads behind her, like the aftershadow of her head movement, but it wasnt there when I first looked at it.

Interesting. I'd wait a few days in case of any building tolerance and try a higher dose without the other stuff. The effects start to dissipate after only 20min?

this thread is great, I really look forward to future work with alternate salvia species. I've got some spendens seeds, maxzar100 I think it was you who told me about it, and Im gonna plant them out this weekend. Recently I met the 'green lady' from s. Divinorum Smile Very strange experience, she's intoxicatingly beautiful.

No the effects begun to show 20 minuets AFTER I drank the tea, the calming effects last several hours, but the strong part of it only lasts about 45 minuets
