I just got this crazy idea at first to use this device as a trainer for lucid dreaming.. But then i wondered..what would it be like to watch a ..Virtual reality program..while smoking DMT?? Remember the 1992 movie [Lawnmower Man?] When you put on the head set.. you block outside reality..with your eyes covered..it usually has audio as well. could you imagine listening to a... buddist chanting..or sounds from outer space...on top of this awesome video that causes one to feel weightless..! Some of the The better programs can be very mind altering... as they can take you ..... ..to a star trek the next generation world... of the future...or worlds of the past!! And combine this video science with the powers of DMT... OMG...!What an experiance this could be! Im going to get me a VR Headset..just as a ...possible lucid dreaming trainer ..or dream tool... But those who dare to use spice in combination with virtual reality.. would have to be brave orionauts!! scene from lawnmower man... https://youtu.be/wN0i0Jf_UAs

I do own a VR headset. They certainly make you aware you have a kilo or so strapped to your head. It could work. Low doses might augment something. Dont you think though, since high doses already shatter visual reality so completely, that a breakthrough with the headset on might be no different? That is to say shattered completely and replaced by hyperspace. A 3D video of the Amazon jungle with authentic sound might be something worth trying. I am however already fairly terrified of DMT the normal way. I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Hi...I dont know,..but when you have the headset on.. you do close out visual baseline reality somewhat...and this stimulation should have some effect It also depends on how high tec the visual auditory experiance program is... I would say a lower dose my work better than a mind shattering dose...because a high dose might cause you to ignore the movie? Im also into lucid dreaming ..and this could also be an effective tool...to help one develope stronger awareness in the dream... And a low dose..below 10mg would be very safe for most people.. ....[one must make a friend of the unknown ... or it becomes something to fear]... Besides...even if you ignore the visuals..you still have auditory stimulation! Yet.. it seems possible that a..[ lower dose of the molecule]..[a closed eye visual dose].. may change the way the Virtual Reality experiance effects you!... and if your not a heavy pot smoker..you may get pay back in vivid dreaming and boosted dream recall! I dont have a headset yet..does your headset cause you to dream more? https://youtu.be/wbRDVK97W5o

I dont think the headset affects my dreams but then I use it a few times a month for only a handful of hours. It is already an altered state, I leave this reality and become a pilot or medieval melee specialist. In that sense I suppose you can consider combining VR with DMT as a synergy of two separate alternate states of reality. So the question becomes one of synergy just like mixing any other two methods to alter consciousness ie: Lsd and dmt or alcohol and violence. I don't know much, but I do know this. Perhaps lower doses might see some benefit from having a VR headset strapped on your face, but with higher doses I imagine the visual spectacle of getting shot out of the galactic cannon into a kaleidoscopic primordial soup of unfathomable knowledge would kind of defeat the purpose of having a VR headset on in the first place Do let us know how it goes if you try it though, I'm curious.

DMT is probably not the substance, most suited for making VR more immersive. I think probably none of the classic psychedelics are.
Maybe when micro-dosed, they cán help making the boundaries between realities more seemless. But with full, psychedelic doses, classic hallucinogens tend to have rather dissociative qualities, wich would likely pull you out of the VR world rather than immerse you deeper into it. Especially DMT.
Psychedelics also tend to make fake things more off puting.
Edible cannabis is maybe the best candidate for enhancing VR experiences, but i can see empathogens like MDMA, MDA, 5-MAPB or 6-APB doing the trick as well.

At a low dose, I think the classic psyches would suit VR well. I actually have some things planned. I think something like lsd + n2o would be great for VR, or even mushrooms with a small dose of n2o. DMT no so much. All is the one....One is the all.
Math. Simple math looks infinite to me.

The heavy weight of the headset will be too much Also DMT itself is an alternate universe, much of anything else is not needed illusions !, there are no illusions there is only that which is the truth

DMT no so much. Yes, a small dose could work. As long as the dose is small enough not to be counsciously noticed. But as jin says: DMT is an alternate universe by itself, and so are heavy doses of shrooms, LSD or mescaline. The reason i think cannabis could also work, is that cannabis is firstly an anti-nausea agent, but cannabis also tends to make experiences more intense without altering them as much as classic psychedelics tend to do. Empathogens can also do that, and empathogens also seem to disable the critical thinking lobes of the brain, wich might be helpfull. Too much of a classic hallucinogen and you may almost automatically start reflecting on how weird it actually is to wear a helmet to be able to see fake, machine-generated worlds. If you give someone XTC and make them look at a fridge for long enough, they won't stop telling you how much they love that fridge and that it is undoubtedly the most beautiful and lovable fridge that has ever existed, in the whole wide world.
