I've heard about salvia that it (or can be) A very harsh trip...
One guy said "Salvia is a bitch... its her way or no way".
I'm not sure what that is exactly, I've never taken it. Also, most people said it has a very "feminine" prescence. Like the spirit of salvia itself is a woman.
I wonder if there are any plants with a very masculine prescence? Just curious...
Perhaps cacti?

In my first and only experience with the Huachuma, I felt quite clearly a masculine presence, like a grandfather watching his grandson play. But it is only a personal feeling.

I have to say mescaline.
In contrast to tryptamines where I often feel a feminine presence that manifests love but also fear (cos mums worry, right?), I always feel like mescaline's my Dad in the sense that it picks me up, makes me believe in myself and feels boyish and cheeky.
I'd sit down and have a cup of tea with Mum, it's pints on the town with my Dad.
I love them both equally.

They didn't like seeing the indigenous people use it, saying it's devil's stuff or something like that. I agree with the above, the few times I experienced it, it felt rather masculine instead of feminine. ...no need to worry...

I remember reading someone here once say that they thought of Syrian Rue to be like the spirit of a wise old mage, grandfatherly, ancient. I think they were contrasting it to Caapi which had a more feminine presence. Interesting that both plants contain harmala alkaloids but have a different polarity. I'm too inexperienced with Syrian Rue to confirm but this is what I read.

Tobacco, huachuma, peyote, iboga, mistletoe, mandrake. Liberty caps are genderless children for me. The consciousness of plants is a constant source of information for medicine, alimentation, and art, and an example of the intelligence and creative imagination of nature. Much of my education I owe to the intelligence of these great teachers. Thus I consider myself to be the “representative” of plants, and for this reason I assert that if they cut down the trees and burn what’s left of the rainforests, it is the same as burning a whole library of books without ever having read them.

My input is tobacco as well. I’ve experienced a calm, confident aura when smoked in a hand rolled sicar (Mayan cigar) and a few other herbs. Very stoic. Cool thread.. + for mescaline for me (and i promise its not cos mescaline sounds like masculine) Certain acacia's feel more masculine than feminine too I think.. the alkaloids vary plant to plant and so do their signature
