Hello everyone,
I've been visiting this forum for a while now. Around 2014 I've tried Q21Q21's Vinegar/Lime A/B Extraction Tek using limonene and had success with it. Around the same time I started cultivating Banisteriopsis caapi, P. Viridis and other plants used in ayahuasca Before that I was interested in mescaline containing cactus and have been growing Echinopsis species since 2005.
The consumption of the resulting compound I got from the extraction got me really intrigued. Everytime I held the pipe with the intention of vaporizing I got the sense that I was imagining the effects and that in reality nothing had ever happened. When I felt the effects I suddenly remembered the previous experiences and was then able to believe it all.
Until that time I always avoided visiting any of the ayahuasca churches thinking that they would be really judgmental of my position and would certainly try to indoctrinate me.
After that I found out that there were other churches or collectives that used ayahuasca legally outside of Santo Daime, UDV or Barquinha traditions that provided a safe space to drink the brew without a rigid doctrinal framework. After a first experience in a place that tried to tell me that drugs were the worst thing ever while offering a brew that contained not one but several substances that were in fact drugs (and there is nothing wrong with that) I decided that the brew was very interesting and allowed me to explore similar experiences to the ones I had vaporizing DMT containing extracts but in a pace that was certainly easier to follow than the wild ride I was used to but the place I choose to have my first experience wasn't ideal. I ended up finding a very good place in 2015 and from then on was able to drink ayahuasca about two times a week until the beginning of the pandemic when I decided to distance myself from there for a while. I still go there but less frequently now and I started drinking in smaller groups with close friends. Most brews used in the ceremonies come from Santo Daime sources and currently the plants I started back in 2014/2015 are now maturing and I have started experimenting brewing them with good results.
Having attended to a variety of ceremonies since that time I can now understand that each tradition offers different things and all of them have something to teach me.
I'm currently very interested in exploring 5-HO-DMT containing plants, mostly Anadenanthera colubrina and closely related species. Bufotenine is legal here and the seeds can be easily found around the country. The duration of the intranasal administration route makes it very attractive and at all the times that the snuffs prepared with the seeds worked the experience was very interesting. If vasoconstriction and the cramps it induces can be reduced or eliminated it would be one of my favorite substances.
I hope I can add something to this wonderful place that always provided me with good information.
To add some color to this post I'll share a couple pictures taken today of a fruiting P. viridis (Caboclinha), a flowering Banisteriopsis caapi (Tucunaca) and a bowl of P. viridis fruits ready to have the seeds extracted and put to germinate.
