not really sure what this is yet but i got these crystals from boiling mimosa in water for a few hours..then filtering..and then let it settle for a few days in the fridge..and then decanting the clear tea off the tannin sludge..then i reduced again to maybe half a fluid ounce..and added half a fl oz of cold water(40F)..this made tannins precip out fast.. then i took 1.5ml of the reduced tea to test it with some sodium carb saturated water immediate clouding..and then after a day of sitting an amber layer formed on the surface.. i removed it..and this is what it dried into Jorkest attached the following image(s): wateronly.jpg (132kb) downloaded 1,289 time(s).

I search for a crystal thread other day before posting my own recent attempts.. If this counts as double posting please remove whichever thread/post is easiest. I'd prefer to have my image in a collection of crystals type thread, rather than sitting all on it's lonesome in it's own space.  From hereRe-X using a Naphtha/Sodium Carb wash followed by heated heptane that was left to evap at room temp in a (spare) dark room with a window open for air circulation.

I have 2 questions that may have already been discussed.......... 1. When you re-X...........what is the typical loss in weight. 2. Is their a noticeable difference in the spice experience when you smoak re-X'd spice? Thanks........... I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention by using totally fictitious verbiage...........

Heres what Im getting so far. Im going to re do them again and make some changes. Id like to use a flat dish as they are to on top of one another. Keep in mind I want them yellow. I love the color of full spec dmt. Sorry my good camera was stolen in Peru so these shots look crappy. @ Observer.. I took preweights but not post weight.. Dumb move down to last min multi-tasking. I will endeavor to get full info on the next attempts. I know I started with about 950mg of spice and used about 60-100ml of heptane. Spice was melted and heptane was heated via hot water bath method). Heptane was added to spice until all dissolved and while both were heated then gave a stir with glass stirrer added to a dish then left in room to cool and slow evap. I am going to refine my technique and write up a report on the next attempts. As for partaking, it might be a phase but I am finding myself very much in mental/mind based journeys at the moment rather than full on visual landscapes. @Cyb.. Are those done on a flat dish also? I am going to try out some straight up flat dish stuff also I think (after a lil reading I think my recent xtal dish purchase might have been a wasted effort, will still try though). @Olympus.. A glorious yellow indeed, am liking the sound of having myself some full spectrum spice. I have some that is very light orange/brown after separation from the heptane during re-x, am hopefully guessing it is 'jungle spice' Re-edited

Those were the result of an evap to air with Nap...clinging to the side of a jar... Have you tried a large test tube for xtal forming?...there is a thread around somewhere showing good results. After reading some stuff on Wikipedia and talking to InMo I have a good tip for us. Crystals like to form on rougher surfaces more than smooth. So I'm going to take some light grit sand paper and make round poker-dot like scratches in the container. They only have to be micro scratches so don't go crazy.
