My first "big" piece. Made December of last year--I had some time on my hands.

All of my posts are entirely fictional. I am a writer, and as a means to research the life of a fictional character that I'm writing about, I post on the Nexus to get into character. In real life I have no interest or interaction with mind-altering substances.

Awesome stuff!

Here's a modest 24x32 cm casein painting. Multi-layered but no photoshop Pleased

Ideally with classical Persian music in the background: these are the Hanging Gardens of Babylon!

Yes, it reminds me of art in mosques or Persian carpets!

Meanwhile here's another small painting made with homemade casein paint, my favourite painting tek for decades! This one took a lot of time, I must have been a monk in a previous life...

Always refreshing to come here and see the latest! Here's a few that I finished since this summer. The first one, Radiant Flux, is the most obviously triptamine-inspired. Uncle Knucles may recognize some of the patterns that I used for alphas in the digital 3D mockup that I created in preparation for this piece, which was massively time consuming.

The remaining pieces are just fun quick studies, playing around with texture, form and volume. All are in acrylic, and many were done while traveling, sitting around the campfire, preschooler bouncing off stuff... that's why I'm taking a break from oils right now. Anyway:

Yes, that is good stuff, Guyo. It's been a long time since I've had a space set up to explore paint in but your mention of completing these whilst traveling, implying that your work spaces are transitory and limited in size, has me inspired to stop using my itinerary nature as a creativity stopping excuse. Thumbs up

In the meantime, here's another example of something done in my phone using a free android photo manipulation app called picsart. Silly me posted a thread dedicated to these when i should have put them here. I think I'll move it over. (Mods,if you'd like to help move that thread over for the sake of clean up, .message me for link, if needed. Otherwise you have my permission and encouragement to do so.Smile )

Just playing with the various filters on a self portrait photo gave me this: I call it "self portrait of the artist in hyperspace"Laughing

Once again I have been forcibly dragged into the land of the busy and relentlessly tiresome and once again I have escaped and am back out in the middle of the ocean, or on the outer edge of the middle anyway!
HI EVERYONE!!!!
I missed this zany place and all of the interesting stuff going on here, its great to have time to be back.
The latest additions in here are stunning, gorgeous and in at least one case, gigantic! Im amazed!

Guyomech wrote:

MeleaYing, I love the mood of that... Would you be down with reformatting it into a Nexus banner? https://www.dmt-nexus.me...m=564890&#post564890

Thanks, and you betcha!
Before I got sidetracked I was working on just that.
In one of the two banner threads I put up some 3D lettering I whipped up in case anyone finds it useful, its in the proper font and stuff.

Have fun everyone!
Its great to be back into my own world (the one that has the lot of you in it and not a lot of suits and bcg's)!

Cheers!
