Exactly as the title says. Bonus points if there's a video of said method somewhere (I know videos aren't a preferred method of instruction on DMT Nexus, but SWIM learns much better with visual instruction).
First post, sorry if I'm not doing the whole thread thing right.

I'd say straight to base with mhrb is by far the easiest. The results are good too!

Hey Peeps Does anyone have anything constructive they do with their waste after extraction, I'm using Cybs Salt tek at the moment and wondering what to do with the waste soup (caustic soda/nps/ACRB) - I filter off the bark chuck that in the bin and poor the rest down the sink. Anyone got any other thought? Kate x

Has anyone seen pure yellow crystals before? The first time for me. I used cybs tek and did not have vinegar. So I brought the Ph down with HCl around 2.5 during the acidic stage and I got bright yellow slightly dense crystals in the end. My question is could I clean these up with a little re-x ? Or would I loose too much bongo264 attached the following image(s): IMAG0350.jpg (1,698kb) downloaded 157 time(s).

Yellow is not bad. I got a fortune cookie that said "Yellow is a lucky color." The next day, I extracted yellow spice crystals. It was lucky.... no doubt BOUT THAT! Re Xtal will not take away the yellow. The yellow is an indication of plant fats(which are soluble in NPS). If you want to get rid of the yellow, dissolve into NPS and back-salt it, or perform a mini A/B, but I suggest smoking the yellow. Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

I will give it a try. It was just weird since the same ACRB gave me pure white before. I will let ta know!

I think ph & heat during extraction may play a role in pulling more color. Some plant fats are soluble at lower ph & not at higher & the same goes for heat. I'm not 100% sure if it is fact, but i faintly recall reading the info on the nexus somewhere.

I have done quite a number of a/b extractions before but just recently I was not able to get any more naphtha and that has really frustrated me. I am using acrb and know that is one of the only ways to get really nice white crystals . I was just wondering if there are any other suitable non polar solvents easily accessible in California for a ACRB A/B extraction that are not highly toxic . Thanks

There are many adequate substitutes - toulene, heptane, acetone etc. Even lighter fluid should do the trick Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

Try Limonene, it's the only food-safe solvent that i know

Hello, I wanted to participate in here in discussions but I'm not allowed to post in many sections. I'm new member in this forum and didn't post a lot. How many posts do I need to write or what to do to post for example in DMT-NEXUS PROJECTS section?

So I've just scraped up an extraction i did a couple of days ago. Using the CYB salt tek i had left the lye and bark mixture for about 2 weeks before i did these pulls, when i rolled the jar the naptha layer turned a very dark colour so that i could almost not distinguish it. I made very sure none of the bottom layer got on the baking dish; I think the reason why it turned this colour instead of the usual clear/yellow was because i had left it for so long. I just want to make sure that it is not contaminated or if any of the lye mix could possibly remain in the naptha layer after separating. Thanks guys s0ftmunchie attached the following image(s): Snapshot_20141114.JPG (30kb) downloaded 60 time(s).

Often problem during naphtha mixing and pulling from base is more or less amount stable emulsion formation. There were some recommendations how to reduce them but I'm curious what is causing that. Hopefully that understanding could help to find ways to eliminate stable emulsions. As much I've read proteins or surfactants may be cause of emulsion formation. May plant material such as phalaris or MHRB contain them or it is something else?

How long can I keep base soup in a glass bottle?
Is it safe to keeplay in room temperature in a glass bottle?

Hi All.
The age old question, which I'm sure has been answered numerous times. Does yellow spice present any more danger than the normal white kind. SWIM has often created both types and used them in changa creation but has never tried the yellow straight up. SWIM assumes that there is no danger to the yellow stuff and I've heard of people referring to it as "Jungle" spice. Is it only impurities that cause the colouration or are there other alkaloids being extracted or even something harmful? There is no contamination from the basified solution.
Cheers

Hey nexians, pathos here. Recently finished the "cooking" process of the tek. Now im at the pulling stage. The turkey baster is a complete fail so im gonna get an eyedropper from a friend tomorrow morning. I got some nice bit, but also a little of the black in there. not a lot, but little specks. Is this okay? im not worried about getting a huge yield, just curious. Now, i obv didnt get all naphtha due to the turkey baster being a piece of shit, so is it alright to store the remaining in the refrigerator while i wait till tomorrow?... also. Do i store the product in a cold place similar to LSD? i dont want them to melt on me.. Like for example, in my rather chilly closet would be okay?.. thanks for the input guys "David will reborn. David will reborn. David. Who the fuck is David?"
