End prohibition: www.leap.cc www.tdpf.org.uk And "Feeling Good" by David D.Burns MD is a very useful book.

I prefer silence on a breakthrough but on lower doses ive tripped while listening to some minimal and deep tech and the groove of it just blew my mind.

I personally used to listen to very chilled out trance and other chilled out music, sometimes you don't even need any music. It can be inspiring and refreshing but of course depending on the amount which is being taken as well as mindset and setting... Everything which is incorporated into an entheogen journey is very dependent on the circumstances which are present at the time.

Just my thoughts

The Antipop by Primus is a great album to listen to while trippin. Might be a little heavy for some. The bass lines are fat and intricate though.

so a good friend is really into dark psychedelic music.. he put on the new cd from psykovsky, and my mind was completely blown! It is the closest to dmt type sounds and images I've ever heard in any music.

http://www.psyshop.com/s.../CDs/tan/tan1cd007.html

the digipack cover is also very trippy, specially the backside.

check this music out, but maybe not when sober..

and dont be scared at first, theres full love also Very happy

the images I got from it is matrix-style huge mother futuristic flying 'saucers' deploying mini flying insectoid machines, full action, but all organic at the same time, beings all over. very impressive

i listen to the same grimey shiz as i do when im sober or just lean up.
i like all sorts of weird stuff but i think my heart will always be hip hop.
i love big dutty stankin beats and mc's who tear the arse out of them.
bump lots of oldish/undegroundish, uk stuff/dubstep/grime etcc...
people like....
jehst (poetic mofo)
roots manuva
durrty goodz (gyyyeyaahhahahh his stuff is beyond gutter.)
coki
taskforce (british pessimism at its best)
foreign beggars (mind blowing crew)
ricochet klashnekoff
dubbledge
ghetto
dizzee
children of the damned (some of the murkiest, gothicest, northern grimey weird scouse voodoo messed up hip hop i've ever herd)

but yea dunno if anyone here is into that sort of stuff, i like bits of ambient but i always end up needing beats.

if anyones interested in uk hip hop/grime/dubstep wotever get at me an i'll link up a load of dope shiz.

mmmm.

Its always different for me. Sometimes an album will make me feel great then the next time I listen to it I want to break it. One time I listened too Deloused in a Comatorium by Mars Volta and was overwhelmed with pulses of vibrating energy and my body felt like as a cloud but then I couldnt listen to it for about 2 months because it annoyed me. Rolling eyes
I mainly listen to metal but there is a few bands in between I like. Viking metal is like the perfect median. Its metal with a folk sound.
I recommend Ensiferum, Eluveitie, Korpiklanni, Manegarm, Folkearth, Finntroll, Turisas, Troll Gnet El (they are more folk but awesome).
There is quite a few other ones that are good If anyone is intrested I can check my collection and list some. If anyone is looking for a decent show to goto go to Paganfest 2. Rufus went last year, ate a 10 strip and had a blast moshing. I will be moving to LA in april so Im going to the show in hollywood.

But there is a few not so heavy bands.
Xavier Rudd, Lotus, Sublime, 3, Brain Police, Sphongle, Atari Teenage Riot, a few others.

Ofcourse some Grateful Dead (just their live stuff), Doors, Floyd and some others Im sure I dont need to mention.
I just heard Blotted Science and Forest of Stars. Both are pretty sweet.
But my all time favorite is Iron Maiden.
As I said though one day Ill be listening to Absolutely Live by The Doors and can smell the sweat in the audience then the next time it just bores me.

PS I forgot to mention one album I never get tired of is Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds. Had some good times with it.
Be safe everyone.
