Cool thread, some real gems in there!
And this is the perfect place for me to ask something that has been bothering me for a really long time now. Does the Boards of Canada track below have a HUGE spiceyness to it, or is it just me? I absolutely can't listen to it objectively because the first time I heard it was when I was in hyperspace, and now whenever I listen to it it's 100% anchored to that experience alone and I go into a trance-like state and get spine-chilling flashbacks. It's like you hear the gears of reality turning, and it takes you somewhere really deep. And this hasn't happened to me on any other song. So ,anyone?

Not so very familiar with 'psychadelia'. But when it comes to compositions that can and have moved me, more or less, into a certain 'blast-off' state
CAN's Tago Mago and Six Finger Satellite's Law of Ruins
..come to mind.

Ya bluetech is cool, yall should check out Flooting Grooves. but when it comes to psychedelic music ya gotta go with the Good OL Grateful Dead *Look for a while at the China Cat Sunflower, proud-walking jingle in the midnight sun, Copper-dome bodhi drip a silver kimono like a crazy-quilt star gown, through a dream night wind*

Hyperspace Fool wrote:There is a reason this track was a perennial favorite for those deepest space excursions. Psychedelia drips from this like juice from a ripe pomegranate. The musicianship (live no less) is palpable... tone, improvisation... and a band that was tripping with the audience. Do yourself a favor and crank up the bass on this and lay back for a taste of the one & only band to play the original acid tests:

I can't get enough of that kind of music. I like well produced electronic music. For me, it is much more abstract than acoustic music, much closer to pure vibrations, untainted by the limits imposed by physical instruments. I tried getting into the Deads...not my cup of tea. I like Hawkwind, Floyd, King Crimson and the more "epic" psychdelic rock better. "If you have any answers, We will be glad to provide full and detailed questions."

Amazing ambient mix by Sonic Samahdi: http://soundcloud.com/sonic-samadhiHe also has a psytrance project called Merkaba and he makes some of the best ethno/glitch-hop music I've ever heard under the name Kalya Scintilla.
