well I've made it so that there's one small portion of tentacle/root/dread/branch which is strong enough to support the entire sculpture, a central pillar made of solid aluminum. I call it this sculpt'Psychonaut', it will appear almost suspended above the base itself at a glance, floating in a head space  I like that Idea though man, I'd call it 'Gaia' or something like that.
