Does anyone here have access to pre-1991 volumes of the botanical journal Adansonia? (aka Bull. Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle Section B: Adansonia)
I need a copy of this -
Hartley, T. A revision of the genus Comptonella (Rutaceae). Adansonia 5(4):391-413 (1983/4).

Getting my hands on this is a big deal to me, which would end years of fruitless searching for the answer to a botanical mystery. Unfortunately the only on-line access is to volumes from 1991 onwards. No libraries in my country seem to have it... Can anyone please help?

Thanks Smerrel, for the link! I had hoped to find it by other means, but decided it's important enough to just bite the bullet and buy it.

Haven't seen this mentioned here yet:ICEERS_Ayahuasca_Scientific_Literature_Overview_2010_01.pdf
- which, incidentally I found through this site: http://www.stichtingopen.nl/en/home.

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

Would it be possible to aggregate all of these uploaded files, possibly in the Nexus Wiki?

We could sort them by subject, alphabetize them, generally make it a more organized resource.

Also, whenever I try to click any of the articles I get an error message saying: "Do not link directly to the resource, you must have a session in progress."

You guys are all amazing

Blessings

Seeing with the eyes shut: Neural basis of enhanced imagery following ayahuasca ingestion

From the New Scientist article on the paper:

Draulio de Araujo of the Brain Institute at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in Natal, Brazil, and colleagues recruited 10 frequent users of the brew – called ayahuasca. They asked the volunteers to look at images of people or animals while their brains were scanned using functional MRI, then asked the volunteers to close their eyes and imagine they were still viewing the image. Unsurprisingly, the researchers found that neural activity in the primary visual cortex dropped off when volunteers imagined seeing the image rather than actually viewing it.

But when the team then gave the volunteers a dose of ayahuasca and repeated the experiment, they found that the level of activity in the primary visual cortex was virtually indistinguishable when the volunteers were really viewing an image and when they were imagining it. This means visions seen have a real, neurological basis, says de Araujo – they are not made up or imagined.
