I'm not a musician. I make visual art. If you are a regular festival goer, you may have seen my work before.

No kidding. I always cruise the art vendors. The super trippy animal art by chance?

No, on screen behind the bands. I had some stuff in the Dead & Co. tour last summer, and it pops up a lot at Tipper and Friends events.

Dope! I was really hoping to catch tipper at Bonnaroo this year. One of my preferred artists for spice journeys. Saw dead and co in 2016.

Often I am guided into hyperspace by a man with air traffic controller flags. Tonight, just now, he was wearing a surgical mask, like people have been wearing lately. Dmt has a sense of humor regarding current events.

Yeah I always figured it was a picture taken while extracting. The rainbows from the ears are clever.

My suggestions on what supplies to order online (if you're in lockdown) to paint in a way that can guarantee good results in terms of supplies:

- Watercolors in tubes, 12 colors (you don't need more, you can mix the rest of the colors) ($14, I suggest the Arteza in tubes, or the Winsor & Newton Cotman in tubes for $25).
- Watercolor paper, 300 gsm, 9"x12" ($10)
- Color pencils ($12, or $19 for oil-based ones that can't be erased)
- Thin point sketching pencil, eraser, long point sharpener ($15)
- Brushes (I suggest the Mudder 12 Pieces set, $10)
- Mixing palette that can also hold dried paint in cakes, $14

With this setup you can make abstract art, OR very easy landscapes, like these ones: https://www.instagram.com/amateur_art_drawing/ . You can follow Makoccino's youtube tutorials for bookmarks to see what kind of abstract art you can do with watercolors. She also has tutorials about that kind of easy landscape painting. By adding color pencils afterwards you can provide more definition to your drawing. https://www.youtube.com/user/makoccinos/videos

Optional, for a more interesting looks that are closer to psychedelic looks:
- Gouache, 12 colors ($16). I suggest Arteza.
- Sakura water-proof ink pens set (goes from 0.05 size, to larger, you'll need all) ($15)
- Gel pens (preferably Sakura gellyrolls) ($10)
- Metallic brush pens ($14)
- Posca acrylic markers ($35)
Tutorials here: https://www.youtube.com/...r/creationsceecee/videos

Here are some of the kind of art I'm talking about that you can do with the additional supplies:

If you rather not do anything, watch The Wave movie (with Justin Long, about psychedelics), and Cosmos (2019, an indie scifi movie shot for just $8k, but with a very Spielberg-style).

Just before the lockdown i had a bit of excess cash and ordered a lovely semi modular synthesizer (dreadbox erebus). So i will be learning about patching and trying to arrange noises into some kind of structure that pleases me. Other than that , i have tried a bit of yoga (it is a lot harder than it looks) but to be honest nothing has really changed that much for me as i am quite happy to sit at home. It's not that i don't like people, it's just that a lot of the time i prefer my own company. I will probably also be imparting my opinions on this forum a bit more over the coming weeks ...

For those with plenty of time on their hands there are 2 free software modular synths available. cherry audio nucleus
(i havent tried this, but hell it's free so knock yourselves out) and VCV rack which is immense and has tons of vids on utube. Also i have seen a few people giving their stuff away on bandcamp. Ott is offering his discography up for free and Aleksi Perala is offering the spectrum series for free. Mike Dred has a lot of releases up with a code for 75 per cent. I am sure that there are many more covid inspired freebies out there.

I was able to see a friend yesterday who loaned me a guitar. So I am going to try to learn.

Even an apocalypse hasn't budged my procrastination, but there is nothing but time to work on long neglected writing and and art projects, so I'm working up the determination to do so....Wink

Also, there is not a contrail in the sky and no other objects up there, the weather is nice, and it is perfect for UFO watching! It seems like this situation would be quite the spectacle for them to check out- unless the whole sector of the solar system is under quarantine...Razz

Aaaaand...CAMPING!
The desert has been calling me for a long time, and it sounds pretty damn appealing right now. Because yeah, there's nobody around... I live in Oregon, where we have been hibernating since last September. This was taken yesterday on Hawthorne, normally a very busy shopping/bar/restaurant district. On a day like this there should be sidewalks crowded with skirts, shorts, dogs, buskers and cars. It is so eerily quiet....and look at that sky- no contrails at all.
