Mindlusion, Jees, your plants look amazing.  Hardy plants for sure. And yeah they can be overwintered/kept at a reasonable size each year, so it pretty much stays similar to the size of a bush, unless you have the year around climate to grow them outdoors [which I do not  ]. The first one I'd had - I had brought it out too late in the season and it didn't take once back outside and just did absolutely zero in terms of growing.  Much better prepared this year, and this mistake won't happen again.

Brugs are nice size, and just introduced them to some full sun today, they've been in part shade/indirect lighting previous. one week later Did ff ocean forest with 30% more perlite in 5gal pots. After transplant I used 3 drops of superthrive per 750ml of water, split the dosage between the 2 pots, then watered with the well water after. Nice plant dude! Looks real good.
Mine's taking off like crazy, hopefully it'll get a couple blooms before the seasons over here. Might have a to try a bit of season extension in the greenhouse outside - I'd like to get it to a reasonable size for overwintering indoors.

Well, checked the brugs this morning. Looks like it'll be blooming before the first frost/cooler weather hits, just what I'd wanted before having to bring them in for dormancy. Sorry, maybe I'm just high and tired, but what makes you think its a Brugmansia? I've only seen that spiny, spiky pod you've posted at the beginning of the thread on Datura species. I skimmed over the past two pages a couple times, maybe I missed something. What Brugmansia species is it supposed to be? Seems like a Datura to me. But I could just be stoned. What Brug species has a spiky pod like that? Living to Give

What Brug species has a spiky pod like that? Yup you're exactly right, that's my fault, I always lumped brugs and daturas under 'brugmansia, two different genus. The person I got the pod from said brugmansia, though I should've payed more attention to the taxonomic stuffs; seed pods being number one lol. Guess tatt needs an introductory course on Solanaceae fam IDs Thanks for pointing that out cave paintings.

I haven't been on my plant game for a while so I was suddenly starting to doubt myself. Looks like Datura inoxia or meteloides I think.. Considering the toxicity issues with these plants, its good to know what's what. Though from what I understand, the alkaloid content varies so much plant to plant and by conditions, that dosing basing on alkaloid concentration may be impractical. I trust you know what you are doing though, and will likely work up from very low doses. Enjoy and safe travels. Beautiful plants, and a native to where I'm from originally. Very pungent flowers.
