I've heard reports that saffron threads are similar to mdma when chewed/sucked on for awhile. How many threads you need for effects depends on the quality of the saffron. If I recall correctly, you need to start with around 4-5 threads and work your way up from there. I haven't tried it personally, but I'm very interested in trying it some day. Lots of results on Google although most of them are older. Convert a melodic element into a rhythmic element...

also, lower/mid doses of mushrooms followed by bong hits of caapi leaf or vine. Way better than any mdma experience i've ever had.
high doses of cacao with a tiny bit of harmalas (DONT overdue that combo) Could you expand on this a bit more for me? By low/mid doses I'm assuming up to a level 3 or around 3 grams of cubensis? Does this work better with lower doses in your experience? Or does it just get moar intense as you up the mushrooms? Do you just keep smoking caapi until the desired effects occur? Can you over do it? Also I'm interested in trying this with ps. semilanceata, but have heard there may be an interaction with the phenethalamine in them and harmalas. Anyone have experience with that? Thanks for the info Universecannon, I've really been wanting to try a low dose of psilohuasca but this sounds easier to get the desired effects and find a sweet spot. Why the hell is kratom discouraged? It's as harmless as coffee. Kratom can be highly addictive, I've read many reports of drug addicts substituting their opiates with Kratom thinking its a safe alternative but it just replaces their other opiate and can be as addictive/destructive. I wouldn't liken it to coffee at all. Or say either is harmless, both are addictive Kratom moreso. It's an opiate, what opiate isn't addictive? I also have never had this euphoria comparable to MDMA from ayahuasca, read about it here but never had that pleasure, always kinda sleepy like someone said. Smoking dmt can be pretty euphoric after you come back but again has never been comparable to MDMA euphoria ime. Same with cactus you just don't get that energy or euphoria, well I've never.

Dosage wise, it's better to start on the low end. Maybe 2 or 3 grams of cubensis. I don't have any experience with liberty caps so no help there. I wish I lived in the UK where I could pick them

pinkoyd wrote:"a low dose of ayahuasca is more ecstatic then mdma can ever be"
For me aya is emotionally flat, no euphoria at all regardless of dose, possibly because of how harmala alks interact with my physiology. On the other hand I never have dysphoric episodes on it either. Great visuals and sometimes entity contact, but this is all overlayed by a slightly (sometimes strongly) sleepy feeling unless I enhance the brew with some guayusa or e. novo.
Each person's reaction to particular substances is unique, so YMMV, as they say...
Just so, each substance is unique in it's action and I don't think anything will give the exact profile of effects that MDMA has. Much has been written over at Bluelight on the quest for an MDMA replacement, but to my knowledge no one has come up with the goods. It's been a while since I checked in over there, so my information may be dated. In my experience of times long gone by, I found that you need to 'activate' the euphoria of aya. It will be an emotionally flat feeling but hidden in that feeling is extreme emotional bliss. Aya is like something that gives you control over your own neurotransmitters. MDMA just floors the accelerator for you but you can do that on aya too, believe me. And to a far greater extent. High doses of aya appear to be more blissful than low doses but that's because on the higher doses your neurotransmitter 'steering wheel' gets a lot more sensitive/volatile and nothing more. The capacity for bliss is available independent of post-threshold dosage. The way to activate this euphoric bliss is actually quite simple: gratitude and appreciation. Just look around, give thanks and admire the art. And get lost in the feeling of admiration of Self.

AMT was for me like a tryptamine version of cactus, lasts for ages was pretty visual but I didnt get much euphoria, but I got a lot of nausea at the beginning, one of the worst nauseas Id had, tried it twice and both times I had those side effects so I didnt go back to it. I dosed 45mg-50mg both times. I had heard it was like mdma but for me it was more like cactus with a tryptamine twist, I enjoyed it though it lasted forever and the thought of that nausea at the beginning put me right off it and it wasnt close to mdma at all, for me anyways. Too trippy for a start, more trippy than cactus. I remember watching metropia and loving it and getting sucked right in with it, very trippy lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLPD_9uFmVI
