Funny how debates can so quickly end due to semantics. language is such a new and flawed reality.

I don't think we're disagreeing on semantics. I think we're disagreeing at the core of this argument. It was a quaint half-baked idea, but sometimes you gotta let them go. It seems you think that because I disagree with you, I must not understand what you mean. I believe I understand, yet disagree anyway.

other than the language problem that people face, there is yet a bigger problem... not accepting that people don't/don't have to agree with you, everyone thinks his/her theory(opinion/idea) is right/the right one.

Global is right, by the way, in the last comment...go ahead all of you, read all the comments, we all agree and understand the core of the idea of the general subject and each individual's take on it, the possibility and implication of what this word describes, but there are different outcomes and that is where our paths split, hence the disagreement.

Actually I don't think we do disagree. My comment was more on biological immortality but due to the fact that the definition is so general what I was saying had to reflect that. And your comment about outside influence touched base on that. There are things that don't age yet can still die. The word immortal is the semantics that I was talking about. It doesn't necessarily mean invincible. But It can also mean that. So basically we were saying the same thing but I wasn't taking into consideration outside influence and you weren't considering immortal as being just about aging.

Either way now in completely lost from the initial conversation. So I better stop before I butcher this thread haha

How would a plant propagate itself through cuttings?

[EDIT] OMG WTF! I just read how the branches are brittle and break falling onto the ground, which root easily. is this the only plant that does this?
