I have to wonder if the PH of the freebase has any effect on the ceramic... But I'm no expert

I doubt it. That stuff is basically inert. That being said, I wouldn't try putting hydrochloric acid on it, or lye water. All these posts are on behalf of Stimpy, my yellow bullhead. He is an adventurous fish, and I feel his exploits are worth sharing...so much so, I occasionally forget that HE is the one who does these things. Sometimes I get caught in the moment and write of his experiences in the first person; this is a mistake, for I am an upstanding citizen who never does wrong. Stimpy is the degenerate.

The ceramic in the GVG and Health Stone Glass is silicon carbide foam. It is essentially inert. gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

Well... It works I just put a tiny spek of crystal on top of the Health Stone, held the Arc 8-10cm above the stone (not the flame, the lighter itself) and turned it on while inhaling slowly. In less than a second, it melted, so I approached the lighter a little bit (6-8cm?) and saw a very fine thread of vapor entering the pipe. It was a little harsher than with the GVG, but it definitely was perfectly efficient ! (still a little wobbly from the hit, my hands are starting to shake slightly now)

Thanx BoyPony I'm definitely trying that out next time I take a journey ––––––
DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction. I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!

Does anyone have any thoughts on orange DMTs possible oils effects on the ceramic?

Yes, I got thoughts. Ah, yesssss, explain. Well, I'm currently in the process of recrystalizing my whole spice stock precisely for that reason. I personally don't like unclean spice, I find the yellow oils give me a bad taste and I came to appreciate the pure smell of spice. (I'm talking real fat here, not a slight yellow undertone.) But more importantly in this case, I just hate it when my copper pad gets black and the condensed spice on the glass isn't pristine. Call me a perfectionist if you wish. Actually, that's my only fear with vaporizing unclean spice on top of the stone, I really don't want to get it black. The little tests I did yesterday didn't leave anything on the stone though. Of course, it seems to me that Changa and jimjam/jungle spice are out of the question with this technique...

Personally I see the difference in effects compared to white spice and I like it(it's been discussed here before and some seem to prefer it). Recrystallized spice can easily also have slight yellow impurities after the first "recrystallization pulls". Even slightly yellow spice or maybe even white can become like dark liquid when it's melted, this was discussed here before and gibran2 referred to it as caramelized DMT: https://www.dmt-nexus.me...spx?g=posts&m=311662

Indeed I like the slightly yellow spice too, last time I compared, I had complete mind fuck with pure white spice at 40mg and a much clearer experience on 30mg yellowish spice. Ok now I'll shut up and read your link, I'm probably just talking out of my *rs* right now

Ok now I'll shut up and read your link, I'm probably just talking out of my *rs* right now It's just funny how you mentioned you dislike it first: " I personally don't like unclean spice, I find the yellow oils give me a bad taste and I came to appreciate the pure smell of spice. (I'm talking real fat here, not a slight yellow undertone.)" But that's the case with most people who think color is bad or impurities, I personally believe at least part of the color comes from other psychoactive compounds and part from oxidization(which might in itself alter the experience). Therefore I keep three stashes: White, yellow and orange, as they all have slightly different effects. The smell is also stronger with orange spice which might make me speculate it's something from the mhrb that creates the smell, as it's a nice "spicy spice" smell, nothing that would smell like impurities. But anyhow I still have no idea if the possible plant oils would mess up the filter, meaning only white spice would work with the ceramic.

Yeah I never said I was consistent I try to keep with the flow Only thing I know really is : I've had terrible experiences with fats and tannins (a quick smoke test and I was pissing from behind in the toilet and heaving in the bathtub). I honestly don't think the plant oils would mess up the filter. The stone can be heated glowing red, washed with solvents and get cleaned by blowing compressed air through it, or a combination. The Health Stones are quite bigger than the VG ceramic filters, it's probably easier to clean. I, for one, will keep using my GVG like it was intended to, and only vaporize on top of the stone with my Health Stone Handvape.

So the ceramic is bigger... how about the pores? Are they also bigger or the same size?

Sure fats and tannins are unwelcome, but I don't think that is what brings the color to orange or yellow spice. Quote: I, for one, will keep using my GVG like it was intended to, and only vaporize on top of the stone with my Health Stone Handvape.

tele wrote:Sure fats and tannins are unwelcome, but I don't think that is what brings the color to orange or yellow spice. Then you should have no issue with colors What I can tell you, is that the yellow on my spice ARE oils, as they disappear in Rx. Now what's in this oil ? Good question, but I'm using hexane and it's not supposed to dissolve n-oxides... [edit] Just did a quick test with yellow spice, works as good. No traces left on the surface either. Not as harsh as I thought initially, the vapor might be a little hotter than the GVG though. tele wrote:Quote: I, for one, will keep using my GVG like it was intended to, and only vaporize on top of the stone with my Health Stone Handvape.
I, for second Somehow, I knew you'd say that And BTW, I'm not doing these tests on my GVG. The Health Stone Handvape was designed to vaporize from the top though, so I AM using that one as intended. I only switched the nature of the chemical being vaporized

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Wow, that color theme is wonderfull under the spice Wellllll it worrrrrks veryyyy welll with butteerrrrr spice tooooo. sorryyy for the letttterrrs it's the spirit of the spice playing through me with the keyboard. Hihihi he's a joky one for sure.

Wow, now that I'm fully back... (I think, hehehehe)
So I put some 20mg or so of yellow butter spice on the HSG Handvape, and it melted and vaporized nicely. Still keeping the lighter very high, I didn't notice any burning sensation this time. It was very smooth. It did leave a little black trace on the stone, nothing a little iso won't remove in a simple wash.
I'm starting to like this one, people... Stylish, very fast loading, and compact... Still no changa though.

Hmm, I wonder if the stone would "clear itself" with another session. I often leave my GVG pad 'charged' from session to session and it kinda regulates itself. I only wash when the neck gets a big ole blossom in it. It would be good if another session would clear out the remaining residue, and 'trade' it for new goods. Well, actually, I just heated the stone to red with the Arc and the traces are gone, the stone looks brand new... Nicely observed PS: This is out of topic and should be said on my HSG Handvape thread, but well. Something noteworthy is that the vapor is contained in a very fine stream that rolls around in the chamber before being canalized through the fine hole into the pipe. The result is, for now at least, no spice has the time to condense in the chamber or the pipe ! Time will tell though. [edit] I see now a little condensation in the pipe, but still nothing in the chamber. Oh and the way it works, you can see just like in the GVG if you've vaped it all or not.

On top of GVG! This worked excellent! Definitely seems to improve control. After a few more go-rounds, this may be the end of the copper disk for me. What I really love is that this is even fewer parts and can be preloaded. The removable health stones would be excellent for preparing for a week away from home or such. Peace.
