It sounds to me like what I'd imagine the sound of my cells communicating with each other via electrical signals would sound like. My theory is that it could be the sound of the electromagnetic field surrounding the body. I seldom get the big carrier wave, but when I do, the closest sound I can relate it to would be the sound of a rocket engine, but completely smooth. During encounters with extremely high vibrational entities, I've had the most paradoxically soothing yet arousing buzzes of my life. My body is just writhing thinking about it. I love the buzzing "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein
"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead
"Man fears time, but time fears the Pyramids" - 9th century Arab proverb

tele wrote:Actually I find tinnitus and carrier wave to be connected in a way... Interesting. What are you thinking? If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

It's already been stated that tinnitus = neuroelectric system = pronounced by certain things ranging from jaw clenching to dimethyltryptamine. Makes sense to me...

I also have tinnitus from going to too many loud parties and gigs without wearing ear plugs. I've learned to accept it and it doesn't bother me much anymore.
DMT hasn't made any sort of noticeable change either.

Basically, if there's such thing as OM/AUM/Sound of the universe, I think it should/could be basically constantly there with us. Even with those who don't have tinnitus(they would need deep concentration). So it could be simply that when we smoke DMT, we get closer connection to this universal sound(the sound of ourselves), it becoming louder and manifesting things into our vision and other senses we can't dream of. I could also be that tinnitus has something to do with the frequency our brain operates at. (House's talk about neuroelectricity) I don't know, but it's certainly natural and I think even people without tinnitus can get in contact with it in meditation for example or in a room without any sensory stimulation. We are weird ass creatures and it's hard to tell for certain... Therefore smok mor.

I have a a lot of theories on astral sound, perception of wave phenomena, direct cognition of energy as sound... I, unfortunately, do not have the time to elucidate them adequately, let alone test them in any kind of clinical manner. At this time, I will simply add to this thread the idea nugget that we should try meditating on these tones. See where they take you. Light and sound are two very direct ways to deal with wave phenomena. If you can grasp the idea of a 3rd eye, then the concept of a 3rd ear is not too far around the gnostic corner. "Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

I've had this ringing in my ears since my last smoke 8 days ago. It's painful at times. I'm not at all happy with the thought of it being permanent. It's very distressing.
