Jeez, Ash, you just proved we should have a banner contest. I wouldn't say yours can fully replace the current one, but it can be used as a banner set. Maybe we should have different banners for each forum, with the current one as the index page banner...

Multiple banners has a disadvantage that the banner isn't cached by the browser, for low bandwidth connection this might post a problem. Kind regards, The Traveler

The Traveler ...Or on phones, possibly? Particularly with a weak signal a constant refresh would, I imagine, make using the nexus quite difficult on phones outside urban centers. Nice work mate, the only think I dislike are the human faces and other things manifesting the real world. It look more like pure harmala vision then DMT vision, so to speak.The clowny or picasso like faces in current banner are much more contemporary HOWEVER I really like and actually had the same idea like this fellow. I gotta admit I just hate the current banner it just doesnt go with the forums color scheme which I like so dont change that. Call me a fuddy duddy but I think something a little more conservative would be nice. If you don't sin, Jesus died for nothing.

Can it be made optional?
In the same way that the theme can be changed you could go into your profile
and change which banner to use.

Is this really such an important issue? The traveler does a bang up job running and maintaining this site, has designed a fantastic looking banner, and we're trying to burden him with further programming duties to have alternating/user-choice banners so we can personalize our DMT NEXUS experience? Maybe I am in a minority here in not considering this a particularly pressing or important issue, but I can well imagine the traveler has his hands quite full already and is, I am sure, juggling all sorts of problems and conflicts of which we will never be aware and which allow this site to continue unhindered and unencumbered. I thought this was an important perspective to bring to the discussion. Again, we are a community, and if I am the only voice for this perspective, i'll gladly STFU!!  Ash - those are great looking banners BTW. I do have to admit I have grown quite fond of the current one however, and would be a little sad to see it replaced. But - I ain't awefreed 'O a lil chaynje, needer!!
