Those illiterate, through inbreed degenerated morons from the south, with their racist bible-fundamentalism are nothing but a stain of dirty stinking shitvomit on the face of humanity.

Wow. Such hate and animosity this forum has begun to display.

This is exactly what i don't understand about decent americans. When i say something about the republican fascists, then suddenly I am being accused of being hatefull.

It's like when i say josef stalin wasn't a very nice person and you would say that this isn't a very friendly thing to say.

Let's be honest: if it where up to the republicans we'd all be hanged AND YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE!!!!!!!!!

You can hardly demand from me that i behave respectfully towards people who would want me dead.

To me that sounds like the single most unreasonable thing to ask after the request for giving head to a 90 year old man with syfilys,AIDS and gonoroe, who never took a bath or shower in his entire life and who liked to fuck dead animals throughout his entire life.

The republicans or GOP as they like to call themselves, would want us all dead. Every single person contributing to this forum.

The christian fundamentalists, and at the end of the day they´re the ones in charge of the party, openly state that they even want the deadpenalty for childeren who disobey their parents.
So what would they want to do with people who use DMT or even disagree with it being illegal....

I've never been too terribly fond of Amsterdam, but that has more to do with the tourists (usually coming from countries largely run by fundamentalists, such Saudi Arabia and the US) than the residents. I consider the Netherlands and much of Europe in general to hold the cutting edge in many of its policies and elements of culture. Amsterdam would probably be a much nicer place if it didn't have to bear the brunt of every other country's suppressed humanity.

Fox "News" is fairly horrible force in this country, but I typically abhor commercial news broadcasting in general.

This is a considerable exaggeration. First off, the people who run the GOP aren't nearly as religious as they pretend to be. (Karl Rove, by most accounts, is a quiet Atheist) The real Fundamentalists are being used by the Republicans; they aren't running the party. The Republicans know that they can motivate them by talking about social conservatism. Believe it or not, the South was largely Democrat until the early 1980's. The abortion issue was a primary factor....the GOP made friends with the televangelists and baptist pastors....and within 10 years a lot of people turned to the Republican party.

Look, I fucking hate the GOP/Conservatives/Republicans, but lets be accurate about whats going on. I also don't know of too many Fundies who seriously want the death penalty for disobedient children. I'm not saying a few don't exist, but thats not a widely held belief. The people you are talking about tend to be Conservative and Fundamentalist only when it suits them. They are quite selective about applying their standards.

Also, the stereotype of Southerners being illiterate inbred hicks is just that. An ugly stereotype. As ugly as any stereotype about blacks, latinos, women, gays, and any other minority. That is to say, it has a root in history and reality, but you'd be a fool to assume that its true of most or all of them. There are plenty of intelligent, rational, unbigoted, good-humored Southerners. A vast majority of whites in the South never owned a slave, either. Slaves were expensive (~800 dollars or more at the time) and in order to afford them, you had to own a plantation and be sufficiently rich. Most people in the Southern US were never rich.

I never have lived there but do have many clients there and none so far have shown any signs of being "inbreed degenerated morons". I never asked them how they felt about other races or the bible, so not sure if they are "racist bible-fundamentalist". I do know they were quite literate though.

you must've never been through mississippi or alabama.
unfortunately many people in the south, particularly small town folk, are still stuck in the reconstruction period; they're not the sharpest knives in the drawer. they're socially maladaptive and very ignorant. this isn't a stereotype, it's the sad truth.

As long as you say 'many' and not 'all.' And it can be both a stereotype AND a sad truth. A stereotype isn't necessarily false, just a generalization. I do feel somewhat qualified to comment on this having family down there. One thing I have learned is that 'mutant' intelligence can spring up anywhere, and I've grown a bit less quick to assume.

I mean, they fucking started a war out there in iraq without any legitimate base.

Slaves were expensive (~800 dollars or more at the time) and in order to afford them, you had to own a plantation and be sufficiently rich. Most people in the Southern US were never rich.

I know all these things.

But

1- what i don't understand about americans is that when you start talking in the same way about southerners as many southerners talk about all kinds of groups they would like to have dangling on some trees...THEN suddenly you're being accused of being prejudiced.

I can only conclude that right wing fanatism in america is a very, very big tabboo issue for americans to talk about.

Obama is being attacked constantly and if one democratic senator says that it might have something to do with racism than....ooooh, he's done it and people say that it's a disgrace to say such a thing.

They don't say it's a disgrace to say that obama is hitler.

So that's why i'm exagerating.
Because it's a taboo to talk about the right wing.

2-because it is such a taboo, many people underestimate the danger these people pose to democracy and world peace.

Everybody's saying: "look, let's forget about iraq, that's the past, we must move on".

But let's not forget about the past for a minute and look at all the ravage these people have made.
Everything: the terror attacks on abortion clinic's and government buildings, the wars, the decline of right for women to have an abortion, guantanamo bay, the renditions, the secret weapon deals (remember iran), the fueling of dirty civil wars and dictatorships from south america and africa to the middle east, the campaigning against taking actions against climate change, the double standards in the judicial system (like with rodney king, even in fucking LA), the pressure from the christian coalition on company's like disney to stop treating homosexual employees equally to heterosecual employees, the plague of gun-violence due to the overavailability of powerfull firearms, the absolute lack of labour-rights with as a result a case where people working for wall-mart where forced by their employers to where diapers because taking a break to go to the toilet would be too expensive, and the many cases of violence against all kinds of minorities.

The far right is leaving a very dirty stain on american history and it's influence goes on up to this day.

What if sarah palin becomes president? Don't say she won't because she's way too stupid. Everybody thought the same thing about W. He couldn't even finish a sentence properly.

There could be many, many more iraq's to come, as well as the rest of all the shit mentioned.

I would consider that a serious danger. Most of the bloody messes may be far away from home, but that doesn't make it less bad.

A life destroyed is a life destroyed. 1=1.

1) Here's why, my friend. I don't WANT to sound ignorant, so I take care not to rely on these generalizations. One reason why? I don't want to be like the people I'm complaining about.

It is not at all taboo in here in the States to talk about the right wing. It happens on the news and in private circles ALL THE TIME. I do it semi-daily on facebook, as do many.

And believe me, brother, there are MANY of us who recognize the danger of these people. Not only to other Americans, but the world at large. I am as against the wingnutters as a person could possibly be. I LOATHE them. But I also think its wise and dutiful to exercise some honesty, lest we sound like a mirror image of THEM.... The South doesn't run the Republican party; they are just another of its pawns.

Bill Maher, Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens have all remarked that they've been surprised at how many people approached them after shows and lectures in the South who were seemingly bright, well-considered people. If 3 atheists, 2 of whom are British, can travel through the South and say this then there must be something to it.

Also, there are plenty of dumbfucks up North.....Minnesota RE-ELECTED Michelle Bachmann for fuck sakes! Sarah Failin' is from Alaska, which of course is as North as it gets. And though W. did a decent job of pretending to be a Texan, the Bush family is all from the Northeast.

Bottom line, the left gets accused of being elitist here in the US. One reason why is that they are fond of blaming many things on the 'poor, ignorant Southerner' stereotype. And that silly crap does turn people off who COULD be allies. They might be open to what the Left has to say, but when they are bombarded with disrespect and ignorance they shut off their ears. The Democrats took the South for granted and have been paying for it ever since.

This is what one can learn from reading this thread.

1) The American people think Obama is building concentration camps.
2) Bush built Guantanamo
3) People from the southern portion of the United States are inbred.
4) People from the southern portion of the United Sates are also illiterate.
5) Christians are racist and a stain of dirty stinking shitvomit on the face of humanity.
6) Republicans are fascist that want to hang you, they want you dead.
7) No really, they would want us all dead. Every single person contributing to this forum.
8 ) Republicans openly state that they even want the death penalty for children who disobey their parents.
9) The United States is run by fundamentalists.
10) People from Mississippi or Alabama aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer. they're socially maladaptive and very ignorant. this isn't a stereotype, it's the sad truth.
11) Southerners want all kinds of groups they would like to have dangling on some trees.
12) It's a taboo to talk about the right wing.
13) Women can’t get abortions in the United Sates because of republicans.
14) Wall-mart forces employees to where diapers because taking a break to go to the toilet would be too expensive

I am not a Republican or Democrat, I’m a Libertarian. But more importantly I’m an American. I am appalled at the slander and lies that are spewed in this thread about my people and nation. I would never expect that this kind of hatred and ignorance would be coming from the DMT Nexus. Why do you feel it is OK to discriminate against so many people? Have you thought that maybe we have members here from Mississippi or Alabama? The South? America? Christians? Republicans? How do you feel about Blacks? Mexicans? Asians? Whites? Libertarians? Muslims? Do you hate them as well?

99% of the above comments are purely opinions and baseless.
100% are filled with hate.

Are people from Mississippi not welcome on the Nexus?
What about people from Alabama?
The South? Can they be a part of our community?
Americans? Are we welcome?
Republicans? Are they not welcome here? They are 33% of Americans (Democrats 36%)
Christians? Are they allowed here?

My point is so much hate has flowed through your lips with no regard to the Nexus community. In your rants you have degraded about 80% or more of the American people. Did you not think we would be offended? Or do you just not care?

Both political parties here in the States are embarrassment IMO. BOTH have lost touch of the American people. BOTH are elitist. BOTH are only out to secure their own longevity and career. NEITHER want you dead or hung. NEITHER are evil.

I don’t know enough about other nations politics to comment other than there is no such thing as a perfect government.

The hate needs to stop though. How are we to push a message of peace through our community and newly founded coalition if we are boxed into a corner as “Left-Wing Nuts”? We need to leave the divisions at the door if we are to succeed or we are doomed to fail.

It's true...we really need to work a bit harder to improve that perception, rather than destabilizing resource-rich regions, renaming food items, and granting imbeciles air-time. On the subject of Fox News, I would feel a million times more proud of my countrymen if Fox's ratings weren't so high.

I don't want to offend anyone.

I truly mean that i'm sorry if i did.

In my defence i can say that this thread began with fuck o'reily, on fox news, the channel 40% of americans think is an actual news channel.

You don't hear me complain about being offended when he talks of my nation in the way he does.

But i just happen to think he's less than the ass of an average warthog and so are all the people who like him and who think he's an objective reporter, whether they're from the north or the south.
And i'm not gonna apologize for thát statement.

And although the democratic party is as political as it get's and not entirely a club of very nice people either, you cannot say the situation is symmetrical, that they're just as bad.

The republican party IS evil, i stand by that. If they're no longer seen as evil than we may as well consider mao zedong, adolf hitler and poll pot to be nice guys who just got a bit of bad media coverage.

the war in iraq alone is a worse enough crime against humanity to make anybody who ever supported it totally equal to the random nazi follower in the 30's.
They supported a bloody innessecary war based on obvious lies.

There may be some decent republicans, like senator mccain or that silly austrian dude from planet hollywood who's a robot but there where some decent nazi's as well, like that staufenberg guy who tried to blow up the fuhrer.

But they show decency by like colin powell did when they said obama was secretly a muslim, distance themselves from the hate and bigotry.

Once again, i apologize if i have insulted anyone. But the situation is not symmetrical. if there's one party known for hate and bigotry it's the GOP.
You cannot ask of me to take back anything i said of bill o'reily and his followers.

That's equal to saying:"you're dutch so you're a criminal and you need to deeply respect my opinion on this or else you're being a disrespectfull and hatefull person".

To be honest dude, Bill O'Really is the least worst on Fox. It's Sean Hannity, and worse, Glenn fucking Beck who are REALLY tanking us out.

I don't like O'Really much at all, but I find him *slightly* more agreeable more often that any other host on Fox.

Let me again repeat...I think Bill is an epic tard and I don't like him much at all. I don't want anyone to get confused and think that I am defending him....

Furthermore, I have to laugh at the notion that America has this apocryphal "leftist media." To me, the stuff on MSNBC and CNN is pretty center of the road. Maybe that speaks to MY default position, but as far as I can tell the true left in America has no mainstream outlet. Internet, and nowhere else. Once in a while you hear a tiny bleep of something Dennis Kucinich said, but by and large, to me, the overall media experience in the USA is center-right.

The Political Compass in the USA is way out of whack; its very offset from Europe, OZ, and Canada. What we call moderate liberal here is somewhat conservative in Europe. This two-party system is not helping us one little bit.
