Yup. I've read Gravity's Rainbow - it's even denser. Pynchon is pretty much the poster child for that whole post modernist school, and I'm way, way into all of these guys. I actually preferred V., but Gravity's Rainbow is great without question. I like William Gaddis a lot as well. The Recognitions is possibly the best of the bunch (as well as the most difficult), but IJ is my personal favorite.

Not too late to smoke DMT with Thomas Pynchon, E. - but he's 73, so you'd better get a move on - and it wouldn't suprise me if he's already been.

On another note I read up on that infinite jest book and wow what a plot!
