Great work Mr.Peabody! I love the tension! Contrasts very well with the background and the colors top it off nicely.

Cyb, another wonderful piece. I'm loving watching your style progress.

Art, your modeling is incredible. I just picked up 3DS-Max so I hope to one day be able to achieve/create something so awesome!

JourneyToJah, beautifully calming colors. I think your piece came out very refreshing, can't wait to see what's next.

Truly amazing and inspiring work throughout this thread!

Guyomech, thanks I'm still working on some new pieces as well. I am going to need to find out how to re-calibrate my monitor profile (Colors in Photoshop != Colors out of Photoshop) before I add color, but I'll attach another one I have in the works as well as the original of my avatar.

Great stuff everyone!

Peabody, I really vibe with your style. I think you and I are tuning in to a similar logos Very happy

VIII, you've got some really cool pieces! I love the liquid feel and all the faces I can pick out of the top picture, especially the cool cat at the top Pleased

Mr. P- you knocked it outta the park. I really like the direction you're going with this stuff.

VIII- great, the subtlety and depth are very intriguing. A lot could happen with color for sure. IMO its not worth holding back in anticipation of a calibration- artists stall themselves this way all the time. Imperfection is part of the process... And you can always tweak the hue/saturation later on down the line.

Aww shucks! You guys are too cool! Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I went through some pretty frustrating periods with that one... For a while it looked like some kind of Lisa Frank little girls folder art... for some kind of messed up girl.

VIII,
That first one is freakin awesome. I had a changa experience quite like that the other night, but in green. That second one is cool, too. I like the shroomies!

I've got some stuff coming this way soon, I may need some prodding but I will get it done I'm pretty excited about it.
Trying my hand at colored pencils again, they are my worst enemy so hopefully it won't look half bad after some heavy photoshop Razz

Cyb, your doing some quality work cranking out all these awesome pieces! Keep on man.

Wax, have you invested in Prismacolor pencils? They are waaay nicer to work with than conventional hard colored pencils. They cost more but are worth it. Be sure to use paper or board with plenty of tooth.

I've done lots of drawings that combine digital with colored pencils; it's a great combo.

I'm afraid I am working with the worst possible materials I could think of haha! Computer paper and some cheap colored pencils. I have a rare disorder where I can only create something I'm happy with on pieces of scrap paper or anything other than a nice clean piece of quality paper... It's something about wasting a perfectly good canvas by messing up my drawing that blocks my flow haha!

I've been very bad and have neglected my drawing for a long time, I think I need to work on getting back into the flow with my bare bones set up before I start burning through expensive materials Pleased

I know what you mean!! I often draw really cool stuff when just doodling in class, or work. I surprise myself with the creativity I can have just off the cuff like that. I find it a good way to come up with new ideas at least, which I then later work out in a more formal and finished sense on the proper art materials.

Cyb, that's great... definitely a little sinister. Very different for you... and a cool compliment to the Daedaloops serpent animation.

As promised, here is the Cyb/Guyomech collaboration. I handed off the impossible shape to him, which he decked out in all the fancy metal textures. I then went back in with a 3 pixel brush and got all tweaky. Between the two of us there are a lot of hours in this thing.

Wow, Jamie. That's really great. Very nice work there.

Cybomech - What can I say? I really like this treatment. Very tactile, and rough and tumble. I really like it a lot.

jamie,
That drawing is so cool! I really like how you balanced symmetry. Often, symmetry is attractive, but I'm of the mind that too much symmetry can seem stagnant. I really like how you composed it, as well as the color choices. Very good work!
