I have one of those. Plug it in, stick your nose in the hole at the top and press the button. Inhale and say over and over "I want this. Everything is going to be OK. I AM LOVE". I vape DMT, siphon diaper goo and grind my coffee with it. I am waiting for the attachment I ordered so that I can hook it up and use it as an emergency sump pump in the event of flash basement flooding. People here are always complaining about its price, but i think they must just be unaware of its versatility. In the summers, I read in a review online, you can use it as a grass seed dispenser. Viva la Playtex GVG!! JBArk the foul fool & fowel fuel & fellow fell & fallow fille-you'll JBark, you made me laugh and want to hang out with you. I just didn't know how to reply. I thought maybe the zobie of Wm. Burroughs mated with Marcell Duchamps ghost, watched Tim and Eric Awesome Show while reading Gravitys Rainbow backwards and then made that post. I'm glad someone appreciated my silliness. In other news! I got my GVG in the mail yesterday. Still waiting for my liquid pads. No stores around here have copper pads. I'm excited, but I can wait. Another thing: I went to buy some Bestine. Wanted to buy a quart or two. The salesperson said: "Oh, We have this gallon on sale. It's the last one." Got a gallon for the price of a quart. Awesome. I don't know what the Tim and Eric Awesome show is, but I'll assume it's funny and was meant as a compliment . I will be getting a real GVG soon. The vapour from my Playtex one is starting to ever slightly take on the fumes of coffee, drain water, lawn and, of course, baby excrement. There are some things, come the time, that a man should not tolerate. JBArk JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

elru wrote:Yes, the glass top is on. I am using a regular bic lighter because spending another $50 for a torch lighter is just not an option. I'm using a bunch of screens rather than mesh, but I have some steel mesh that I can try with when I feel like smoking more burnt spice.
Edit: I generally can't smoke harmala-containing changas because of medication interaction. How many screens? It’s possible that much of your DMT is running down the sides of the glass. Until now, I have never heard of anyone managing to burn spice in a GVG when using a regular lighter. How are you applying the flame? How close, and for how long, etc.? How quickly/slowly are you drawing air through the pipe? gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

elru wrote:9 screens. Maybe I should use fewer? If I hold the flame a bit above the top of the glass piece it melts the spice. If I hold it much closer to the filter it burns. I'm inhaling pretty slowly because I don't want to pull the flame too close and burn it.
I think I'll try using fewer screens. Maybe 9 is making the vapor not able to escape easily enough? In the “GVG” thread you said you use up to 100mg. There is no way that 9 screens will hold 100mg of spice. Most of your spice is probably never even vaporizing, let alone burning. You shouldn't use screens at all - use either a thin disc of copper mesh or a Volcano liquid pad trimmed to fit the bowl. The distance from the top of the ceramic diffuser to the screens in the GVG bowl is over 1”. This means that your lighter flame is never closer than one inch from the screens. Even with an ordinary pipe, if you keep a bic-type lighter so that the flame tip is 1” or more from the spice, you shouldn’t have any burning. It defies logic to explain how you’re managing to burn spice in your GVG. gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

Ive never gotten a bic to work properly, but you don't need aa 50$ flame. I've used cheap 10$ torches and as long as the ceramic thing is glowing red you should be good to go. A bic won't heat it properly IME. It will only heat a small circle not the whole thing. A torch with a one inch flame is what you need.

Maybe the 9 screens are making the distance between the heat diffuser and spice too close?
Good luck, Muad'dib

I found out that if you want to use a metal mesh disc it really doesn't need to be very thick, I made one with stainless steel brillo and flattened it out with an hand vise, it's only 1mm thick and there is nearly no bleed-through when vaping 50mg of white freebase. I don't understand why some of you buy liquid pads when it's so easy and efficient to use metal mesh discs. I’ve been saying this for almost a year now, and people still want to fill their GVG to the brim with all sorts of stuff. A thin disc is all that’s needed, and as you’ve no doubt discovered, very efficient. How quickly DMT vaporizes in a GVG is directly related to how quickly the “containing medium” reaches vaporization temperature. A large wad of liquid pad might never reach vaporization temperature at all locations. A thin disc will reach that temperature in just a few seconds. gibran2 attached the following image(s): screen2.1.jpg (26kb) downloaded 495 time(s).gibran2 is a fictional character. justine wrote:How thick is your disc ? I'd say about 1/8". Maybe 3/16". Between 3 and 5mm. Also – stainless steel and copper scrubbers are not made out of wire, which is circular in cross-section, but rather they are made out of ribbon, which is rectangular. This provides much more surface area than wire, and I think the flat surfaces, due to surface tension, allow the liquid DMT to “cling” more easily. gibran2 is a fictional character. Yes, and I’ve noticed that if the disc is too thin there’s leakage. Also, I like to keep the disc loose (and hence a bit thicker) so that air flows freely through it, rather than being forced to flow around it. Hammering it flat would close up many of the spaces that help air flow. gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

So he tried it with the liquid pad, 20mg sub-lingual harmalas, and a bic lighter and it seemed to work pretty damned well. Could barely hit it again after 2 hits, closed his eyes and onne of the female entities rode by on a flying hyperdimensional chopper bike, then the wheels morphed into the walls and were sucking things into them while they were still spinning and eating them up. He tried again with a torch lighter just to see if it would work as well and it seemed to work great as well as far as how much vapor he got but not much CEVs due to the fact that he had just hit it 20 min before. He should know better to wait at least an hour but he thought it might work since he had the harmalas. He thinks the problem he had must have been with leakage. All posts are from higher vibrational alien entities. These entities are not physically real to your understanding and do not exist in this dimension, therefore accounts of all posts did not take place in reality.

hey guys Is the aluminium cheap-o VG worth it? Is it better than the machine at least? SWIM wants to get the most out of his spice with the minimal $$$$ I am a saltydawg using my master's computer posting fictional posts for another saltydawg that lives in a different country.

It tends to get quite warm as well making it uncomfortable to hold after a while. My mind craves nectar day and night. Like a blue lotus floating on the sea of love. Lingering in ashantic realms Lingering in the akashic realms Lingering in, lingering in the realms. Blue lotus floats, floating, floating.. Some laugh, some weep, some dance for joy. Very cool thread guys. One question for those who own a GVG, it is better to have a torch lighter with a single torch, or one that has two or more torches? SWIM has been using a bulb for honey oil vape with an Erbo Pipe and it seems to leave black deposits behind in the bulb. Perhaps SWIM is using too much heat and burning the oil. GVG sounds like a great tool for spice journeys. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous. — Terence McKenna
All my posts are hypothetical and for educational/entertainment purposes, and are not an endorsement of said activities. SWIM (a fictional character based on other people) either obtained a license for said activity, did said activity where it is legal to do so, or as in most cases the activity is completely fictional.

Definitely a single torch. Anything more than that and you run the risk of cracking the glass top piece which contains the ceramic element. Convert a melodic element into a rhythmic element...

Does anyone know how many mm thick the ceramic heat element in the gvg? “Psychedelics are like square roots. They can take you from a place you know, to a place you never imagined could have existed”
