I dont mean to flood the place here but I am having some fun at this  nodice attached the following image(s):  Nexus Banner29.png (305kb) downloaded 354 time(s).have you ever taken that ferry from San Francisco to Berkeley and looked back and seen that while in Berkeley, San Francisco doesn't exist?

I dunno, just thought that viridis was more iconic as the aya leaf. But I'll try some mimosa on it later. Oh and I agree the blue background is better, gives a sort of pastel feeling or whatever the word for that is. It's like it reminds me of something but I have no idea what. Anyway here are some of the fixes, and tried to make it more piercing, or something. I'll post a final version later but just putting this here now in case I forget before the deadline. Nodice - are you indeed Android Jones??? Because your art banner has his art in them! If you are indeed him, then please let us know! Let's be original and not get us in trouble.... It stated clearly in the beginning of this thread that we want original artwork with no copyright issues. Please follow the instructions. If you're looking for inspiration, perhaps you could use me. I normally charge about £500 an hour on modeling asingments, but would be happy to waive that fee for the DMT Nexus. I am a clown, nothing I say can be taken seriously. It is my profesion to talk nonsense

I think using tiny samples of an artwork would be legal using it on a website banner. I apologize again I didn't think it was that big a deal. I shot Android an email as asked him about it. some of them do contain small samples blended with other images. I thought that if you alter them enough and blend them in enough that it would be what they call "acceptable use" for a web banner but I guess I was wrong about that. please by all means remove them... have you ever taken that ferry from San Francisco to Berkeley and looked back and seen that while in Berkeley, San Francisco doesn't exist?

Actually, you're thinking of Corel Painter. And he didn't develop the program, he just beta tests new versions, publicly endorses it and supplies the art on the box it ships in. He's really, really good at it though. Regarding the current controversy, I just assumed that with few exceptions, most of these banners were borrowing a little or a lot from other sources.

Can I remind all banner making people: Art (your own and not any copyrighted art!)We really can't put any copyrighted material up as a banner. With all the new copyright enforcement law trembling to be accepted it would be very unwise to use any copyrighted material. And nodice, with your talent I think that you can make some new banners that are probably even more beautiful! I would also see the comments from the other members as a big compliment! I also think that it would be wise to limit the amount of banner entries to two per person. I want people to enter banners of which THEY think that are the best that they made! Here's my submission. The background artwork was sourced from: http://www.sgeier.net/fractals/index.php The artist states that it isn't copyrighted although they would be glad to hear if it is used. I really wanted to submit something since making graphics has been a former interest of mine, but since I'm not much of an artist finding non-copyright work was difficult. Anyway hope you like it!
