In my experience DMT is a process. The experience may last a few minutes, but you carry it with you. Integration can take time and some effort, in the sense that you stop and think about the trip and accept whatever may need acceptance to make it part of you.
Just something to keep in mind. If you are so busy right now that you can't do a mushroom trip, DMT may not be what you are looking for. On the other hand it might be. Just something to keep in mind.
When I get very busy at work or life I tend to set psychedlics (including DMT), books, and even excersie aside. It's not healthy for the mind and body I guess, but I need to feed the family too. Once I catch up and are in "routine" mode I explore the "higher" pursuits of contemplating conciousnes and beauty.
I think I'm going to trip more often after I retire and the kids are out of the house. I'll probably get a Buddhist robe too...
