Anyone in the know knows that if anyone actlly wants to work with psychedelics as opposed to to just experience them, they should go into the experience with a question or intention. The purpose of this thread then is to document the answers people have got to their questions.
There is a similar thread to this titled "what have you learned through thick and thin" but i wanted to to get more specific i.e what was your question/intention and what was the answer you got....could you intergrate this into your daily life, was the answer helpful etc

I realise that some peoples question may be of a personal nature and they may not wish to share, but if you have anything which you do wish to share, i think it would be interesting to read about how psychedlics have helped peoples on personal a personal level

I am also extremely interested in the ways intent can affect an experience, and to what extent.
Plus, shaping an experience with intent into something which later becomes valuable and significant in normal life, is a demonstration of a high degree of psychedelic specialisation. The technical aspects and consequences of intent need to be reviewed so we can all learn to shape our experiences, if we choose to, with greater clarity, confidence and efficacy.
Onwards and upwards

"How does Luck work?" is one of my favorites. I've gotten all sorts of answers - it's a hell of a rabbit hole.

Once I saw a way to fold up reality so that Luck, Choice, and Fate were beings in a realm of their own and it was their interaction in that space that caused the expression out here with us. This came from a similar method of folding up reality to collect emotions into beings in emotional space, but this place was capable of being influenced by individuals down here. The realm of Luck is not easily swayed.

Sometimes, I have been convinced that Luck is manifested as a song hidden in reality. Once you're on beat, go with that flow and ride the wave. If things are consistently not working out for you, slow down or speed up whatever you're doing because you're obviously out of sync. Sometimes you're going at the right rate, but not at the right time (luck=sine, you=cosine) and you just gotta find it. Watching for omens generally leads you down some delusional path, attaching meaning in vain leads to finding hollow Luck. I concluded that consciously paying attention directly to Luck's song by seeking it or forcing it was a sure way to avoid it.

Another time I found that Luck is earned, but you should never rely on 'systems' like karma. Bad things also happen to good people.

Further, Luck appears to be both a distinct energy and an emotion of spiritual proportions, far transcending electromagnetics and brain chemistry. Luck can be used up, and generally is once you start relying on it. It'd be nice to think that it can be channeled from a higher place, but this generally leads to at most a temporary coincidence and eventual inadvertent divergence for "trying" too much.

As far as integration goes: I'm confident in my morals and not superstitious as that would be counterproductive Pleased

Psychedelics have acted as a tool for analyzing the abstract concept of Luck from a variety of angles, to me this is one of their greatest strengths. They're also good for taking a step back from life to look at egos at play or marvel at the beauty of nature etc, though I see these things as an extension of abstract analysis as well.

I used to ask Aya/Mimosa brews for various things: love, strength, wisdom, happiness, awareness, power, empathy, etc. It was not uncommon to take a few trips to get a tangible result, but there were times where I realized that I'd just built complex placebos that were no substitute for the real thing. Other times, I got what I was looking for after a mini-journey within the trip. So in that sense, I believe that a trip with some moderate dosage can be guided through the framework of intention.

Asking for healing and Health with a smile has consistently shed desirable light on all experiences.

Recently, I've found intention leads to expectation and such scrutiny can detract from the session's potential. Sometimes it's good to just see what there is to be seen, but I'm sure I'll dream up some good questions and intentions as the solstice draws closer.

To be honest I tend to go into the experience open/blank minded and questions/intentions that I may be storing sub-consciously seem to be answered when their time is due. It's neat how it works out..

Though on reflection, solid intention could definitely prevail.

One of SWIM's most powerful ayahuasca experiences led an experience with an entity from a religion that's practiced half way around the globe. He had this extreme feeling of terror but at the same time he felt oddly enlightened. There was also this very "magical" feel to it. SWIM can't go into detail about the experience but, it was probably one of the single most significant events in his life. He smokes the spice to try to figure out the significance of what the spice had shown him that day. The problem is, he usually winds up with more questions Smile. One day he plans to do make that drink again. He's been avoiding it because he had belladonna in it but, that plant seemed to add something to the experience he hasn't come across ever since whether it be smoked DMT or aya.

Aside from that honestly, sometimes SWIM just smokes to see what the universe has to offer.
Whether these dimensions are all in his head or real, these are things most people never get to experience.
He has high regard for his experiences good or bad and hopes to be able to continue experiencing them as long as he's alive.

There's nothing like the feeling of absolute terror, loss of the physical world, and being 100% positive you're dead to put things into perspective Smile. Really though, much appreciation for the power of nature and the magnitude of our universe has been obtained through DMT.

I think you menat to post this in the "why smoke dmt thread"
Your comment doesnt seem to relate to the original question.
Thanks for commenting though.
How did you make the aya and what belladonna alkaloids did you have.

My last two times drinking were with jurema/rue. The first time was very dark and so the second time i decided to supliment with 3 d stamonium seeds as iv heard that these can help make the visions sharper/clearer, but they didnt seem to have any effect.

Ya actually you're right, I misread the original post.
Let my last post reflect my question and this one the answers SWIM's got Smile.
None. Straight up, none.

It seems intending to head one single direction on DMT is easy but, actually doing it is another.
There has been times where things seemed to be elaborated on slightly but, that's about it.
That pretty much applies to any question SWIM has asked.
He wonders though if it's because of his inability to stay focused from his awe of the experience.

The drink ( drank 2 because the first didn't seem to hit right that day):

By the way, it was made in bulk:

228g mimosa
90g syrian rue
~5g belladonna root, powdered.

So per drink it was probably

10g mimosa
4g rue
.2 grams belladonna.

SWIM only got to try it that day.
Some bacon caught wind and SWIM had to toss the remains.

The only thing I'm unsure of is the belladonna.
The amount used may have been more, upwards of .4 grams per drink.
I remember the amounts debated on being used, just not the actual amount used.

The effects of the belladonna were obvious during the experience.
Actually somewhat uncomfortable but, influential in their own way.

BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL!!!
I do NOT suggest anyone try this drink.
Tropanes are very dangerous and can kill you.

I had alot of experience with belladonna and datura alone before I decided to mix it in with aya.
We're talking full blown 12-16 hour hell rides.
I did it because I enjoyed it.
If you don't enjoy full blown datura trips, don't mix it with aya.

I gotta put all that crap in here because I know if I don't, someone will yell at me Smile.

Yeah man, i totally have to agree with you here.
I mean, you can go into an experience with a set intention, but when you find yourself waking up in the experience not knowing how you got there or even that youo drank aya, your intentio becomes a little hard to remeber or follow.

I guess its just finding that happy medium where your far enough gone, but not so far that you forget you exist Laughing
