i used a 12' cutting of trichocereus bridgesii followed tek used a tad more hci (0.8ml) on salting step due to lack of litmus strips the results were well a tad gooey and did not have that nice fractal pattern. i came out with 6 grams of very light brown product out of a 228 gram starting weight(fresh). so my question is what do i have? is it a handful of maois,? and if so can i remove them,? or should i eat it with some dmt? should i pitch it and try again with torch or ponoci? a bit of guidance would be greatly appreciated.

A yield of 2.6% from a fresh cactus seems highly unlikely. To assess the plausibility of this figure, take a look at the most excellent cactus analysis thread, as well as The Average Cactus Mescaline Content Mega-Thread and the Post Your Mescaline Extraction Results thread. This will help put your figure into perspective.

It sounds as though that weight is including a certain amount of moisture and impurities (as in, non-mescaline substances). You'll want to be drying it out and doing an ice-cold acetone and MEK wash before recrystallising, if it's purity you're looking for.

You could also consider sending a sample of it away to get analysed. Check the forum index, there are threads about this subject.

As far as ingestion goes, it's your call. By the sounds of it, you'd be happier to test it after a couple of further purification steps.

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

my thoughts exactly an almost 3% yield had me a bit on edge i performed 2 cold MEK washes with no real results and was thinking about trying kash's crash method. do you think that would provide sufficient purification? or would the acetone MEK be a more suitable method before i crash it?

update-i crashed it out out of 1 gram i got 50mg pure white. i think for the sake for time and efficiency i will continue with the acetone tek, thank you for your help and guidance. the first extraction can be a bit wonky its all downhill from here Thumbs up

For inspiration
Acceptance of the fact that our reality is not real doesn't in fact mean it is not real. It just leads to better understanding what real means.
