Hey,
My friend had a really tough time and takes huge interest in organic farming. Hes just looking to get away from it all.
I saw something some years ago that would defiantly be up his street. If I remember correctly it was in Scotland and they basically lived off the land, grew all their own organic vegetables , they were like a small society..
Any ideas please of what they were called? Or what I should google, only have found woofing so far.
Thanks so much <3

I believe you may be searching for permaculture collectives. Regenerative farming and intentional communities might also prove to be areas of interest worth exploring. Love and Light! All is well, may you find this to be true.

If you don't find one you can always go to a Rainbow Gathering in you area and you will undoubtedly find people there who know 安心精神芝簡単吸収前進'''.'''''...'''''''..'~>\\\*'*¤@¤-.*;,^/ò°ò\^,,;*.-¤@¤*'*///<~'..'''''''...'''''.''' */(°_-_-_-_-_-_-,-:_:°_°::.:..((<u><u><u><u><u><vvv><vvv><vv><vvv>((",°^°FFF[[[--°°°___<<<```///---_°°°<<`_`_`°o°o°O°O°.°-)-(-°..°o.)°..O))°°(O°;';;'';;;''<°<°<<°°°<°°°<<<°°__-_---___---_°_°°___°°--°°_---____/__//___//__///__/_///_/_///_//o°oo°°oo°°oo°oo°°°ooo°o°o°o°o°o°°o°o°o^°^°^^°^°^°^°,,-.'''..--''__--```((-°-),-.-,,((),)(),) .°o;;;^`^_<<<8>>>_^`^,,,O.°

Thats probably Findhorn.
I dont know much about that particular project, but the big and successful ecovillages (in Europe for example Tamera, Damanhur & Sieben Linden) are usually pretty flooded by people interested to visit and participate, so it can be difficult and/or expensive to get in, especially for longer times. Theres usually some events/work camps where you can visit and take a look around for a short time. Smaller projects are usually easier to visit, especially for longer times. They are all around and more and more people follow this path, as they seek for other ways of living life. Its a bit of a roll of dice whether you will be visiting a well running project or one with serious issues. I would say from experience that the latter is sadly more common. You will learn valuable lessons on both types though.
That being said, it is certainly possible to support yourself with growing small scale organic food, but its a LOT of work and you got to be smart about it.

Pishwanton, in Scotland, is also interesting. They work with medicinal herbs from a Goethean perspective. “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work." ― Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli
