Why not just use a glass bowl, and then cover that. or put that in a bigger bowl, and cover that one too. With a bowl, you don't have to be scraping the inside of a hard-to-reach-place.

SWIM trying to use something SWIM can at least seal or is small enough to conceal behind things in the freezer...I can't leave it out in the open ...i tried saran wrap but since my ashtray has those little edges for cigarettes it didnt work

I dont see why not...as long as it seals completely and no air can get out.
