So my question is this tek only for cebil seeds or can any Anadenanthera species be used?

Also the solvent of choice seems to be IPA, could I use ethanol instead?

Yes just about any anadenanthera species can be used, but colubrina and peregrina will be the ones you commonly come across. They can be treated as near enough to the same thing.
Not sure about the ipa versus water.

Also I have another question, I've read that yopo or cebil have variable amounts of 5MeO DMT,nn DMT, and bufotenine. Is the tek that I linked selective to bufo or will it pull all alkaloids present?
Last thing I want is going to smoke the bufo only to find out that the seeds were rich in 5meo.

As far as I know bufo is the most prevalent alk. present in either species, and by a considerable margin.

How will I know though? I just read a post by 69ron stating that he had seeds that yielded mostly nn DMT and barely bufotenine. How do I know that won't happen for 5meo?
Will I be able to tell if I pull 5meo or would I have to separate them?

I have read things online saying similar things, but they are vague (to be polite) about identification of the species, the conditions it was growing in, etc etc etc.
Ultimately unless you have a reason for avoiding 5meo you will find telling it apart from bufo difficult. But it will still be a nice way to spend a few hours.

Well The only reason why I was avoiding 5meo was because I thought the threshold dose is a lot lower than nn but it turns out that 5ho has the same threshold dose as 5meo.
Now I'm not so worried anymore.

Okay so today is the day I started this extraction and ran into a little problem. I put the seeds in my oven preheated to 500F like the tek says and my seeds were cracking and popping, as expected, but they were bouncing all over the oven and I didn't want any to fall to the bottom. So I decided to put them in a skillet and toast it with a lid on it and since my stove only goes up to 375, I put it on high which was a huge mistake because it burnt the seeds to a crisp and now my seeds look like mini charcoal rocks.

The bufotenine should theoretically still be stable since its not sensitive to heat. I essentially just created carcinogens on the seeds and they should come out in the cleaning process?

Are my seeds still good or did I ruin them?

Well I decided to go ahead with the extraction, I already did the acid boils, added carbonate, pulled with ethanol 3 times and now I'm currently waiting for the ethanol to evap down so I can infuse it into my herbs.

Would doing a sodium carbonate wash on the ethanol help clean out the carcinogens?
