Question about the rules... Options

I couldn't find anything in the rules that specifically addresses my question so I wanted to ask here if it would be an acceptable area of discussion.
My question is about Phalaris Arundinacea (reed canary)grass and whether or not people from my neck of the woods have had any luck finding any and if so where did they find it in a general sense? I know from doing a bit of research that it does grow quite readily in my grow zone (and every other grow zone apparently) but I have had little success finding any and that's coming from someone who spends a great deal of time outside and often go camping in different parts of the state that I live in.
I even recently went on a two day 30 mile canoe trip and I had my eyes pealed while going down the river and I searched the entire island that we camped on for the night. Having read that it typically grows near water and that it grows quite rapidly in nature and will sometimes even become overgrown dominating the plants and grasses around it I thought for certain I was going to run into some but alas I found none.

If this is an acceptable area of discussion then I will be more specific about it in this thread.

hmm..there are fields of the stuff around here, it's literally everywhere.
You could check around farmers fields..but that stuff might be low alkaoid because lot's of it was selectivily bred to contain low alks becasue of sheep staggers...

There are other species of phalaris as well..some even better than arundiancea..depending on where you live...

Wish I could help more..if you do find anything you could take pics and post it here for identification...not promising that it could be identified by pics but it's worth a shot I guess...

best of luck..
Long live the unwoke.

I'll just go ahead and say that I live in south western Pennsylvania. If this does cross any lines then I apologize to the mods and am sorry for wasting your time having to delete the thread.

Thanks fractal. That is a good idea posting pics. I just need to get myself a camera or a cell phone that has a camera.
