Acuminata on Hydro Options

I got some 1-2 months old acuminatas. They look ok but they grow short and wide, is it normar or i must worry about something ? How they look to you guys ?

Look healthy, please put one outside so at least you can get a sense of what the difference in growth rate is via sunlight/hydro

I tried once to grow them outside during summer but they failed. I use hydro for that reason. No doubt they grow faster, maybe x3 or more. Those are almost 1,5 month old. The plants that failed during summer time (3+ months old) wasn't that big.

My problem is why they don't go tall, but short and wide.

I know that if plants (generally) don't have enough light they can become elongated as they try to get closer to the source. If you have light close to the plants im guessing they would not try so hard to elongate... maybe the reflective surface under the plants could be playing a part?
