Mimosa bark when left for several months after pulling gives further yields when pulled again. If the basic mimosa sludge is left with residual naphtha for some considerable time, the naphtha floats up and evaporates, leaving alkaloid crystals round the mouth of the jar. (These obviously would require further purification.)
