I see these types of extract being available, and question that the following methods of manufacture may possibly be used ? (on powdered caapi):
1. A solution of Ethanol and water is used in Soxhlet apparatus to extract the goodies. This is effective but very time consuming.
2. The caapi is simply macerated in the solution for weeks, before filtering and evaporating to desired concentration. Easy as pie.
3. To a boiled caapi extract that is reduced to a thick 'mel' consistency, ie containing almost no water, Alcohol is added, which extracts the goodies, leaving behind plant gunk...(

4. Or Caapi Alks could simply be dissolved in Alcohol, which would be the easiest way to determine concentration of Alks.
>>Which method do you think is used and why? Isn't there an issue with Caapi Alks not dissolving in Alcohol?
More imaginative mutterings of nonsense from the old elephant!
