Communication is the key to any good relationship.

DMT to me, seems to want to say something. Teach something. Show you something. It is all for you! A private classroom in hyperspace. But what happens when you want to say something or ask a question?

Do you remain silent your entire journey?

Or do you attempt to communicate?

I would be interested to hear about the various approaches people have towards communicating and interacting with DMT.

I once attempted to communicate with DMT.


It was on a threshold dose, I was still aware enough to ask a question, I think I asked to see entities or something. This was when I very first started my journey with the molecule.


It was very bizarre, but the trip ended abruptly, exactly at the same time I was asking the question. I came to pretty quickly, right in the middle of asking something out loud in a house by myself. I felt quite silly.

This is an interesting question. The only time I've ever communicated (well, to be fair, I never opened my mouth, it was a telepathic form of communication) was with an entity that tried to take me somewhere and I said no. The reasoning behind why I said no is because I somehow forgot that I had smoalked DMT and thought I was losing my mind and that freaked me out a bit, to say the least.



Besides that experience, I am definitely still learning to navigate that space. Somewhere in my mind I am always communicating, seeing, observing, questioning etc etc. but I've never tried to bring my own agenda into the mix besides remaining calm! All I know is that I can only speak with my mind when there, as I forget how to use my mouth. I would like to try singing or humming or making physical noise in general to see how it effects things but have yet to be successful. Global has posted some interesting things on how noises/singing/growling effect hypersapce and the inhabitants within it.

On a slightly different note, the lady and I have been working with mushrooms a lot lately (there was a good harvest this year ) and she has met and encountered many mushroom entities. There has definitely been communication between her and the spirit(s) of the mushroom. On our last journey she even encountered Shiva which I am still in awe of, among other visions.

Working with mushrooms gives us a lot more time to play with the headspace and visions vs the rapid nature of smoalked DMT. To her, she has compared our mushroom journeys to be equally powerful as her DMT visions. In the right doses it can be strikingly similar to Ayahuasca but given the chemical make up of DMT vs Mushrooms, it isn't all that surprising.

So, I do communicate with the strangeness within a DMT experience but it is quite hard to describe. It is never with plain words but with feelings, emotions and thoughts. I can feel the thoughts of beings when they are nearby, which vary in strength but IME they are usually only paying halfway attention to me if that makes any sense. The only being who gave me full undivided attention was the one linked above and it shook me up pretty good.

It also seems that none of it is planned, or that it even could be. DMT always seems to have its own agenda and I always feel that even if we could ask all the right questions, would the DMT space/beings allow us to come back with the answer or would we be plagued with amnesia? Sometimes I have many epiphanies but it is hard to grab onto it and bring it back, IME. I feel like I only really absorb about 15% of my experience but I am working on that. Perhaps someday I'll be able to increase that percentage...

I have never found direct communication with entities to be particularly useful for me. Even if I go in with a question, I will oftentimes forget it or not ask at the right time.

What works best for me with tripping, meditation, and yogic practices is setting an intention for myself. I find that if I just make the effort to form a guiding question or musing beforehand, then I am usually able to learn something useful about it during the experience.

For example, before going on an LSD trip in the mountains recently, I set an intention of figuring out what exactly I want to do with my life career-wise. While I did not come to a magical or surprising answer, my thoughts on the matter were cleared up and I felt that I then had the proper cognitive tools to move forward and make the best decisions possible for myself.

Overall setting an intention has worked the best for me, but if you find that you are able to have extended conversations/interactions with entities in an understandable, meaningful, and memorable way, then you may want to continue experimenting with direct communication and seeing what you get out of it.

I have managed to have some communication on a number of levels. But before we go on, I think having seen many peoples experiences I need to define that I am talking about communication in that place of breakthrough - where reality is fully replaced, and I have my eyes closed and no sense of body. And the reality seems fully solid i.e. not just lights and geometry (which I think is somewhere part of the way there), or some form of analogy to this reality - where it seems entities appear like us and speak.

I have a theory that there are a few places you can go, but I am yet to work out a distinct methodology or experiment on other methods than my consistent one. I am tempted to start a thread about eyes open vs eyes closed (unless there is one already) as well as full body relaxation vs. sitting up.

Anyway, I have tried talking with my mouth - I was told to shut up. I have gone through a number of methods of trying to communicate. I have discovered that the primary issue is linguistics, we even think in our language of words, throat vibrations, and mouth shapes.

Our earthly language is useless, both in our head and through our mouth (although there is something interesting about throat sounds and tones - and as you are all saying there are those quite experienced on this here). I even have found that having words continually resonate in your head blocks actual communication.

Anyway....

In my experiences I have been invited to "communicate" and I think I know how it works there (or does for me for what this is worth to anyone else), I think you all know. Its just not verbal, I'm not even sure that over there there are objective statements that can be transferred - its more subjective feelings. But the subjective can be communicated, every entity even yourself is open to examination - you can look into them and see what they are and sense their intent. It feels very invasive when they do it to us, and I think it is seen as brain surgery.

I was invited into a library, or a party or something that was both. The entities there opened themselves up to me and I could move from one to the other and really look at them, the closer in I looked the whole universe of them opened up. It was made clear to me how this works - not in words of course but just known. I am not sure if consent is necessary, and I am worried I may have overstepped my invite in one case and an entity was quite annoyed with me.

They do also try to communicate with us verbally, most tend to be pretty bad at it - but probably not as bad as we are at their communication.

To talk I just project my desire - just by feeling it, it is known by any that look at you. Its like that thinking you can do if you don't verbalize in your head.

This is of course all my crazy thoughts on the matter, but I have a strong "knowing" feeling of some of this which I put down to communication. I am either going slightly mad, or I'm on to something or this is just a sequence of odd trips that are there to tell me something and this is of no use to anyone else.

I've also seen entities a number of times who were clearly children, or should I say young developing entities, often with a mentor or parent - which opens a number of questions about the nature of the other place.

It's hit or miss with any kind of communication with DMT.

Amnesia is quite common for me as well. I started writing down everything I could remember right after a trip. I recently saw a video on youtube where this guy draws and scribbles his visions on or after DMT. The picture he drew is remarkable to say the least. (I will place a link below.) I think either drawing or writing can improved memory or recall of the experience. Practice with intention.

I feel like our language is not useless, but rather, it has no reference there. And vice versa, the type of communication that is possible in hyperspace has no reference here. Frustrating in some ways as I would like a more fluid two way conversation, but perhaps this is not possible in the way I would like.

I feel like when I began having the intention for communication that I was opened up to it. I feel like I began to have more and more interaction. I often cannot remember the exact features of an entity that I interact with but always feel them.

I think many animals in this world including us can sense fear and joy in another creature. Before anything is ever said you can feel that person or animal. I have heard it said that 90% of communication is non-verbal. But how much can you say non-verbally? I often find it hard to speak in hyperspace, as if my mouth was removed. It is a disconcerting feeling to be honest.

I began to practice humming and chanting and just making weird noises. I imagine I am little kid trying to figure out my new body and how to use my mouth and make sounds with it. This was very helpful for me and made me laugh too. I felt very silly doing it and then felt filled up with a light joyous feeling. Very satisfying.

Just recently I have been trying some chanting. I have only tried 'ohm' and 'ah', preferring the prior. It does not work at all times. Sometimes my mind just says to shut up and listen. But when I am again the observer and have some control I attempt to vocalize. I first start by thinking of the sound and the vibration and imagine it surrounding the whole environment. When I have achieved this I felt like the environment was dancing to the vibrations of my voice. I almost felt like I was creating something physically from my voice.

What I have found most useful with any interactions with DMT is my imagination. Using your imagination as you become an adult can be difficult. I thought of this playing with my daughter, watching her making up her own language, talking to her dolls, making weird noises, and just being a creative little being. I thought to myself, SELF, you are a child of this universe and should approach such things with the wonderment of a child. So that is where my mind has been at lately. I approach it like a child. This has also become very good for me emotionally, as I remember my childish, joyous, carefree, and creative nature.

Approaching entities this way has made my past few trip very playful in nature. Very positive. I think all the energy there completely responds to your own. Shoshin is a concept in Zen Buddhism which is known as the 'beginner's mind'. Ready to learn and become the student. The student must take the role otherwise the communication will be hampered. So taking myself into a child like imagination and assuming the role of the student has had profound positive effects to my experiences. It has also freed me from the restraints of the adult mind. I can make goofy sounds and be myself. I can laugh and sing and do whatever I want. I can imagine anything I like.
