It make me wonder if any have tried to construct a private portal room for themselves so they can revisit places they been before. That way you can come back to the same place you went to before. If not, I think I know a way.

From my experiences while dreaming and initiating astral projection, I was often able to return to the same place or dream to continue the experience if I replicate the scenario I was in before I exited. By replicate I mean that you remember how you felt, what you saw, or what you smelled or heard during the previous experience.

If this method can be expanded upon a person could potentially create a room of portals, and by going close to that portal you would be able to pick off from where you left off last time with a vivid fragment of what you experienced before.

The above is assuming that you retain complete control of you senses, awareness, and control during that situation (or do you lose control instantly?)

Has anyone got this to work and what obstacles you have encountered while trying to do the above?

I've found that certain symbols get you in different places. The first one I tried was the swastika, strangely enough this portal key got me into a place I refer to as valhallah. Another one I tried was the three triagles symbol, this one brought me into an open grey room with straight grids along the walls much like the holodeck in startrek TNG.

I haven't tought about making my own portal/gateway keys yet. You might have to come up with one that is unique for yourself only. Or I think you might run the risk into running into a place that already exists.

I'm still trying out various symbols.

My strategy is to follow the most common and universal symbols starting from the ancient and working my way to the modern.

Eventually I want to explore higher dimensional shapes because I think they will offer more interesting possibilities.

I think it could be interesting to try out new and unique symbols and to try them out with other people to then compare our findings.

Good luck out there.
