The thought just popped up in my head : most psychedelics we have seem to originate exclusively from land. What about the ocean ? Maybe our co-evolution with the land life made it so that we only have a psychedelic response to this segment of the biosphere ?
I did some research, apparently i'm wrong : there is a wide variety of hallucinogenic fish (it is unknow if this is due to diet or the fish by themselves). 5-Bromo-DMT is what they got in the sea
and it was apparently first isolated by "Dr. Osculus" who tried it on himself and had a good time : "... (with 40 mg, smoked) I closed my eyes and found myself drifting through the ocean on an ice floe shaped like a puzzle piece. There is a silkennig of my own (somewhat bristly) hair, and am thereish but not quite there. Very light and nonaggressive, nonnauseating. Drugs such as this are aptly described as 'serenic."
