Hello!

So I've been doing a bit of research both here and in other places, but I can't seem to find a clear cut answer to the whole dry ice thing.

Now I'm seen some reports that it does work (just not as well as the freezer method) so I'm trying to figure out if anyone has clear reports on this.

As I understand it, the best way to do it is with an acetone dry ice bath, though high purity alcohol can work as well. I've seen this info posted at least 3 or 4 times, but with so many people resulting in success, and so many people that say it doesn't work (temp gets too low, and the naphtha freezes... Before even trying it or offering any sort of solution) I'm curious to know more about it.

Full disclosure, I'm seeking this method for two reasons. Namely, I reside in a residence with a shared kitchen, and freezer space is at a premium. I can probably fit one, possible two pulls in there and that's it. However, with the mysterious dry ice technique, I can pull considerably more. The second reason, is I am slightly pushed for time due to being put of town for the next week or two. Granted, if I have to wait to do things right, I will of course. But I wanted to see if anyone's had good success at this.

As I understand it, the trick is not get it too cold, too fast, as acetone and dry ice slurry means -78 C, I also can't seem to find a good solid reference on the freezing point of VM&P naphtha.

Hrmmmm...

Like you Ive seen various observations about dry ice it seems a tricky procedure to get right. Why not just combvine all the pulls evaporate down then freeze-precipitate.
