I have tested roots from punica granatum and it doesnt yield anything when extracting via the A/B route using non polar solvents. not even a trace of alkaloids.

Hey ambivalent, I have a question for you regarding your testing of Punica granatum, did the roots come from a clone or from seed stock? I have no scientific reason for asking, but pomegranates don't come true from seed and revert back to wild stock when grown from seed, it could be that a commercial cultivar (clone) is low on alkaloids?
