A new and supposedly exceptionally potent T. Pachanoi - var. spiralis has been discovered in the Venezuelan sub-tropical desert. The plant has a very distinctive and attractive form - see pic.

The exact location is being kept secret, but there are a number of populations, and a well known Czech supplier has already collected seed. The results should be available in a couple of years. Watch out for this one!!

I would love to grow such a beautiful plant! I've never seen anything like it- a spiraling cactus! Maybe some day I can get one to replace my pachanoi that I accidentally messed up.
