It taught me not to cling to old experiences or this would happen again.

Thank you for answering!

What you wrote sounds like common knowledge to me. Not like ancient wisdom. I think that if one is honest to oneself one would come to the same conclusions.

_For me_ all this entity stuff isn't any more then subconscious thoughts manifesting in consciousness. That's why I don't belive that you can gain any NEW knowledge from entities.

That might be true, if everybody was already aware of everything in their subconscious, but I don't think that's ever the case?
“I sometimes marvel at how far I’ve come - blissful, even, in the knowledge that I am slowly becoming a well-evolved human being - only to have the illusion shattered by an episode of bad behaviour that contradicts the new and reinforces the old. At these junctures of self-reflection, I ask the question: “are all my years of hard work unraveling before my eyes, or am I just having an episode?” For the sake of personal growth and the pursuit of equanimity, I choose the latter and accept that, on this journey of evolution, I may not encounter just one bad day, but a group of many.”

Of course that's not the case. I guess it wouldn't be called subconsciousness then. *g* But I think that it might be that psychedelics interact with the brain in a way that opens up or broadens the connection between the two so that things my float from the bottom (subconsciousness) to the top (consciousness) more easily.

And let's be honest here...we know that doing things to ourself that are bad for us...are bad for us. One doesn't need entities to understand that.

Why would you need cash to enjoy your spiritual freedom?

And have you not noticed how many painfully poor people manage to be genuinely happy?

i have noticed that everyone i know who doesnt have to worry about money is happier than all the people i know who have to live cheque to cheque. at the moment i cant even afford to go to a yoga class as i cant afford the class or the petrol to get there.

I would say that knowledge is pretty profound.

my friend has recently sorted himself out and went to see a therapist, he got told all this infomation. It seems less profound when your not spongled but the infomation was essentially the same.

Seems you still fail to realise on a deep level that money does not equal happiness.
What good are billions of dollars when you're still miserable, lonely, fearfull,
depressed and angry all the time?

you are right in saying money on its own wont make you happy, unless money makes you happy of course. I am at a point in my life where the only thing making me sad is the fact that i dont have any money.

That sounds a lot like gaining new knowledge, in contradiction of your earlier statement. The subconscious stuff may have already been in there, but by definition, you didn't know about it, so it's new to you when it arrives in ordinary consciousness.

That would be one way to interpret what I said. But it's how I meant it. Because you already knew it without beeing aware of knowing it. So I'd say what happens that one becomes aware of something what was already there without beeing accessible cause it was still beeing processed by subconsciousness.

For example if you forgot something and then remember it later, it's not new knowledge. It just wasn't accessible at the time.

OK, now I understand.

Surely that begs the question in turn of how it got in there in the first place? Was everything acquired just in this lifetime? Unlikely, given the bizarro nature of a lot of it.

Is it hardwired in us somewhere, as genetic memory or junk DNA?

Or is it transmitted from elsewhere?

So few letters, so many questions!

Depends on what we are talking about. As I said

Quote:
we know that doing things to ourself that are bad for us...are bad for us

But there's a difference between understanding something intelectually and understanding something emotionally.

I belive that due to the highly emotional nature of a DMT trip, thoughts we have during this trip may be easier linked to emotions. As the emotions on a trip can become pretty strong the thoughts, that are now coupled to those strong emotions, get a higher priority and we then are more aware of them.

But hey...it's all just speculation from my side resulting from self examination.

I have met a hell of a lot of poor people that are miserable, lonely, bored and malcontent and i totally get the idea that money does not equal happiness but those who think there is a certain kind of nobility about being poor, and that poor people live in some kind of utopian, spiritual, bubble of happiness have probably never experienced impoverishment for any lengthy period of time themselves.
