Hey all! first post, not sure if this is the right place so feel free to move it, ive been lurking and chatting here for a bit, but i have some questions that hopefully you may be able to help out with. i am going to be starting hormone replacement therapy soon (estradiol, spironolactone, and most likely progesterone) and i am curious if i need to be concerned about an interaction with dmt or harmalas, as i don't want to give up the brew for obvious reasons. i am mainly concerned about either some kind of serotonin based reaction from the maoi and of blood clots because hrt increases your risk of blood clots by a bunch. i searched all over the usual sites, and found nothing, so if you know anything about this it would be greatly appreciated by myself and the rest of the transgender community! thanks a ton, you guys do great work!

That's really something that you should address with the doc who prescribes the hormones.

It's better to ask than to risk it

Id assume that hormones naturally found in a human body would be OK, but I'm no doctor

ya i was going to ask a doctor, but im kind of concerned that they'll just take the hormones away, and i'm not sure how someone could ask a question like that without being told "you are psychologically unstable" by a doctor.. maybe if i asked about ayahuasca tourism?

Harmalas are legal. There are many medicinal purposes that might influence one too ingest harmala.

You could say, "I'm interested in taking harmala for *what ever reason you choose. * will this interact with the hormone therapy?
