Having read many of McKenna's books and hearing some of his interviews over the years I decided to peek through the doorway to see for myself what he was talking about. When doing so for about five minutes I found myself viewing a scene of unexpected elegance surpassing anything experienced through the use of an entheogen before as the blackness produced by my closed eye lids in a darkened room became an offering of gorgeous brightly glowing crystalline neon light filled jewels. Lovely deep ruby red, golden yellow, rich green and blue self-transforming jewels which changed shape and shades of color from one to another. The reds becoming a brighter shade of red, the yellows becoming more golden and then green, the blues more towards violet. The largest of them all in the center was a slowly rotating yellow-golden colored flower-like crystalline form.

All of the transforming-morphing jewel-like objects were contained in the frame of a multi-partitioned and open box-like container floating in the center of my vision, each section within it randomly containing a collection of different sized jewels which was turned towards me giving full view of its contents of living light forms. At some point I noticed that the background behind the box of jewels was no longer black and as they faded from view I could see a tall majestic domed cavern embedded with hundreds of equidistant points of light which appeared to be both a dome and a dark blue star filled sky at the same time. This whole vision was outlined by a delicate black filigree around the edges similar to what might be found as a highly detailed and fine laser cut decorative border mat for a work of art which after a few minutes all slowly faded back into the darkness of my closed eyes.

The scene was as if I had been greeted by some kind of living art. After the experience all I could say to myself about it was holy, holy, holy… the short lasting vision had a look and feeling of an extraordinary holy and divine nature.

Wakey, wakey! Smile
What, you ask, was the beginning of it all?
And it is this...

Existence that multiplied itself
For sheer delight of being
And plunged into numberless trillions of forms
So that it might
Find
Itself
Innumerably.
-Sri Aubobindo

Saidin is a fictional character, and only exists in the collective unconscious. Therefore, we both do and do not exist. Everything is made up as we go along, and none of it is real.
