Something that used to make me feel better through periods of depression, hopelessness, and anxiety was looking at ants, hundreds of them scurrying around, doing God knows what. I was above them, looking down at them, but I am no better or worse than them. It instilled a sense of perspective within me. Yesterday, I realized that I'm not even an ant. I entered a world that is beyond ours. All my problems were laughably small in the grand scheme of things.

"Shut the f*** up," they told me, as I sat cross-legged, slack-jawed, mouth hanging open, breathing heavily, almost in tears at the beauty of the experience. As if my dissatisfaction with my job or my problems with interpersonal relationships were at the center of the Universe, as if my existence ever mattered a hundred years before I was born, or will matter a hundred years after I die. This reality is a facade. It can be manipulated at my will.

Nice!

You know you are small and large, everything and nothing. You are made up of and eventually will retun to molecules of Type 1A Supernovas, Big grin Thumbs up Love
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

What bugs me out at times is that infinite, commonly viewed as things going farther and growing larger, is equally vast in the minute scale.

The further you look at the space between the junk the more junk is there.

So smash your hand on the table, destroy infinite universes and declare "I may be small, BUT ALL OF YOU ARE SMALLER!!!"

Then look up quickly, a huge fist is inevitably incoming someday soon.

You will figure it out, take some time to integrate. All is not lost, your ego was smashed and is trying to claw its way back. Let it go, breathe, and you will see!
At the center of this existence, it is everything and nothing, all of us and each of us and none of us. My light is now lit, and it cannot be extinguished.
