Being exposed to too much sunlight at the wrong time could be disrupting your circadian rhythm.
This could be especially true if you sleep in a room without curtains, or with curtains which are not thick enough to block sunlight between dawn (which can be very early in summer at high latitudes) and when you wake up.

Ha! Are you from the PNW by chance? We've been suffering one if the longest summers in memory and i and most non LA transplants up here don't live here for bright and shiny. Whenever i am gone and return to Oregon, i feel like I'm crawling under a great big security blanket when i feel the clouds roll over me. I miss dark days. Where is fall ? Right on, akasha, a welcome to the Great Pacific Northwest to you ahead of your arrival. I moved here a looong time ago from Atlanta, and I'll take the winter rain over the summer humidity any day. But yeah, its almost October and we are looking at 90 degree weather still. Its the end of the world, but the weather is nice.
