Always nice to see some baby Lophs sprout - good for you.

I usually sow a tray of Lophs at Christmas, under lights with bottom heat - using up that years left over seed, start anew in March. And it is always good to see new life spring up in those short dark, days. Those sprouts will then have a head start on those sown in the spring.

Here's an interesting read that I found about alkalinity and cacti. I figured I'd share it here since all the discussion about pH and whatnot.

Knowing is half the battle! Smile

Wow, that was sth of a botanical breakthrough-like experience, it changed my world.

Apparently our water here is ph 8,2. Desert cactii need around 6.

Thanks Nathaniel !
