Aloe Vera, in particular, squeezed directly from the plant.

Plain yogurt.

Baking soda in a cool bath.

Dry oatmeal inside wetted gauze.

Please feel free to add on here.

UV Index today was 10 High . . . I forgot sunscreen, stayed out all day with my bro and nephew and now have a wicked UV radiation burn. Thumbs down Mad Sick and not Cool

- virgin coconut oil

- mimosa hostilis RB

Both great on their own. I've combined them for treating burns. Works wonders.Thumbs up

I've also heard potatoes work!Cool

If I'm going to be out in the sun for a while, I always drink a lot of pure water and load up on antioxidants as well.

Consult a doctor for sunburn treatment if:

The sunburn is severe — with blisters — and covers a large portion of your body
The sunburn is accompanied by a high fever or severe pain
You've developed a skin infection from scratching your sunburned skin
You have a severe sunburn that doesn't begin to improve within a few days

In most cases, sunburn can be treated at home with:

Cool compresses
Over-the-counter pain medications, such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB)
Antihistamines, such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl)
Aloe vera gel or lotion
Hydration — drinking plenty of fluids

This 100%. Coconut is a all in 1 remedy, as is Aloe. These two together would work tremendously well.

Emu oil. Nothing else comes close IME. Not just sunburn, just about any topical issue. Healing cuts fast, acne, burns, etc.

Oh I absolutely challenge you to a burn off, except I don't currently have access to emu oil. And I don't want to burn myself Smile

But seriously, I urge anyone to try emu oil side by side with any other remedy and they shall see. Unfortunately you have to kill an emu to get the oil. Unless they invented emu liposuction and I just haven't heard of it.

But think about all those poor innocent coconuts. Crying or very sad

I use this lavender type of soap with emu oil and coconut added. Works nicely. Though, emu oil is on my list of substances to research. All I know is that it contains Omega-3, 6, 7, 9 fatty acids. Probably some protective effect as well as rejuvenating qualities.

Fresh aloe vera, squeezed right from the plant.

Added benefit of Aloe: Break off a whole "leaf" at the base. Let the end heal over a couple days. Then you have a "to go" packet of Aloe that will last for months.

Thanks folks.

This seriously sucks and seeing a doc is not an option. I actually have 2nd degree blisters on my shoulders. They are tiny but numerous -just on shoulders though.

The pain is worse than four days ago and some of the burns look even worse. Peeling is happening in the lesser burned areas. Not sure about fever, due to a heatwave plus menopause. I sweat constantly and cannot cool off. LOL, sleeping and wearing tops, . . . well, a mini nightmare.

I guess it will just take time like most things in life.

I have not had a burn like this for over 35 years, if not my entire life. I sincerely hope I never will again in my life.

Oh and for the record, I am not bragging. We adults should know better than to suggest taking a serious, potentially carcinogenic, radiation dose is a contest.

Trust me you do not want to experience cancer or a cancer treatment.

I have had more than enough six year old boy for awhile, I know that much. Laughing

Aloe from the plant - I've hear that in Jamaica guys rove the beaches with it looking for sunburned tourists. My dad really wants to grow the plant actually - seems like a great multi purpose plant as you can drink it too.

EDIT - if you have blisters Manuka Honey if you can get it

If you are lucky enough to live in France you can get an over the counter cream called Biafine from the shops.

If you are in America or elsewhere you can order it online very easily.

I was given a tube after I had a basal cell carcinoma removed by a dermatologist.

it's a herbal-based non toxic formula and really is magic - they use it for radiation burns.

My dermatologist said the tube would last me for life and said he used it on himself all the time. For some f'd up reason (Pharmaceutical company politicsTwisted Evil ) it isn't available in US pharmacies - but stocked all over the place in France. Well worth having in the house.

If the heat is an issue witch axel will really be good. The lower boiling point will help it evaporAte and help you feel cool . In the future see if you can't get some active wear clothing that is sun protecting (it's $, but lightweight helps wick away sweat and keeps the dun off ya). I hope you feel better soon. If it's any confidence melanomas basal cell carcino
As and squamous cell carcinomas are among the most easily treated snd detected cancers (as long as it doesn't develop inside to...)

Feel better.
